Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Church of the Nazarene in Cushing. Former pastor Mike Satterlee will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Visitation will be today from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until noon. The family will greet friends at Davis Funeral Home today from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Dye was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Cushing to Glen O. and Sylvia (Brookshire) Dye. He was raised and educated in Cushing. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He married Doris Clark on Jan. 15, 1950. He worked for Midland Refinery until it closed and then worked for Sinclair Refinery in Tulsa. He retired from Sinclair in 1990. He was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Cushing and was a member of the Cushing Masonic Blue Lodge. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with his Consistory at Guthrie and was very involved with local sports in Cushing. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Ruth Ramsey, and one niece, Allinda Talbott. He is survived by his wife of the home; one son, Donald Ray Dye and his wife, Marie, of Panama City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lindsey Dye, Erin Dye and Allison Dye, all of Panama City, Fla.; two nieces, Gina Delany and Nikki Barber; and other relatives and friends.
