Gavin Mr. Ira A. Gavin age 84 longtime resident of Dewey and Bartlesville died Thursday morning in a local medical complex. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday in the Dewey Cemetery with Rev. Danny Fisher pastor of the Dewey Church Of The Nazarene officiating. Memorial services will be on Saturday at 2:30 P.M. in the sanctuary of the Dewey Church Of The Nazarene with Rev. Danny Fisher officiating. Services are under the direction of the Walker-Brown Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in his name for those who wish to contribute may do so to the Jane Phillips Hospice, 291 N. Virginia, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74003. Mr. Gavin was born on April 13, 1918 in Yale, Oklahoma to Clinton and Eliza (James) Gavin. He started his 40 years employment with the Coleman Company in Wichita, Kansas when he was 19 years of age and retired from the shipping and receiving department in 1983. He was a member of the Dewey Church Of The Nazarene, Masonic Lodge in Wichita, Kansas. He and Ruth Gavin have been residents of the Bartlesville and Dewey area most of their life.
