Obit for William L. Givens

Mr. Givens

Funeral Services for William L. Givens, 39 year old Cushing resident who 
died Thursday morning in the Cushing Municipal Hospital, will be held 
Saturday at 2:p.m. in the Fairley Funeral Chapel with Rev. C.A. Morgan of 
the Pentecostal Holiness Church Officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery north of Ingals Oklahoma under 
the direction of the Fairley Funeral Home.

Mr. Givens was born in Cushing (Payne County) on February 16, 1931 and 
spent the early part of his life in the Sacramento, California area. 

He had worked as a service station attendent as a young man before 
becoming disabled from a back injury about 17 years ago. He has made his 
home in California for several years and was here visiting relatives at 
the time of his death.

Surviving relatives include one son, William L. Givens Jr. of Fallen 
Nevada; his father William Givens of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, Johney 
B. Givens of Tulsa; and several aunts and uncles and other relatives.

Note; "Billy" as he was called died on 18 of June 1970. He was the son of 
William "Uncle Dick" Givens and Ina Gorforth. Another brother, Jimmie 
Givens proceeded him in death.
