All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Elizabeth Sanders was born March 26, 1848 and departed this life March 1st, 1923. She was married to John H. Hetherington July 24th, 1866, who died September 27th, 1919. Of this union was born seven children, three whom still survive, viz: Harvey of Agra, Marshall of Drumright and Mrs. Lula Harding of Cushing. She also leaves one sister and two brothers: J.F. Sanders of Pemeta, Okla., J.H. Sanders of Roadhouse, Ill., Mrs. Emma Hetherington of Durango, Colorado. Sixteen grand children and fourteen great grandchildren are left. The deceased was a member of The Christian Church for some 60 years and died a firm believer in that faith. Her last words were: "I am going now, going to Jesus, good bye". She was buried at the Oak Dale Cemetery beside her faithful companion. The cemetery overlooking the old homestead where they had lived as pioneers since the settlement in 1891, until coming to Cushing to live in retirement. All her trials here are ended, all life's stormy days are past. She has reached that peaceful haven and found her God at last.
