David M. Hummer

BOOKER - David M. Hummer, 66, died Wednesday, April 16, 1997.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Christian Church of Perryton 
with the Rev. Roy King officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery 
at Perryton by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.


Mr. Hummer was born in Ochiltree County and had been a lifetime resident 
of the Ochiltree County area. He was a graduate of Oklahoma A&M at 
Stillwater, Okla.

He married Mary Lou Smith in 1957 at Perryton.

He was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of First Christian Church of 
Perryton.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Malinda Martinez of San 

Antonio, Susan Randall of Oklahoma City and Stacey Herring of Saginaw; his 
mother, Mary Hummer of Booker; four sisters, Pauline Duke of Big Cabin, 
Okla., Martha Hall of Booker, Mary Hummer of Amarillo and Florence Conley 
of Perryton; and eight grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Ochiltree Hospice, 3101 S. Garrett, 
Perryton, Texas 79070; or Marjorie Urban Scholarship c/o Perryton National 
Bank, P.O. Box 969, Perryton, Texas 79070.
