He passed away October 3, 2004 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 59 years and 26 days. Don grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school. He entered the United States Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict where he served two deployments of duty overseas. He lived in Calfiornia and Florida before moving to Wichita, Kansas and Commerce, Oklahoma. He later moved to Weir, Kansas where he was married to Eva Lou Harper Bandy on January 26, 1981. Don attended Pittsburg State University before graduating from St. Paul Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. His first church was in Edna, Kansas and then to Cedar Vale, Kansas. They moved to Arapaho and Olustee, Oklahoma before moving to Cheyenner in June of 2000 to make theur home. He was currently the minister for the Cheyenne United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, wife, and one granddaughter, Megan Christine Bandy. Services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cheyenne School Auditorium. Interment will be in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapek Funeral Service, Cheyenne. Survivors: 2 daughters Kathyn Harbert and husband Charlie, Arkansas City, Kansas; Vickie Harrold, Commerce, Oklahoma; 2 step-daughters Beth Keller and husband, Bill, Pittsburg, Kansas; Anita Lou Bandy, Shawnee Mission, Kansas; 2 step-sons Bryon Everett Bandy and wife, Lorie, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Lloyd Lance Bandy, wife Katherine, Weir, Kansas; 8 grandchildren Tyler Harrison, Brandon Bandy, Rachael Reed Bandy, Eric McGee, Lance Bandy, Andrea Brandy, Majestic Harrold, Kyle Slane, His Mother Alice Harrold; 2 sisters Sandra Gerding, Susie Greenlee and husband, Alan all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 Brother Clifford Harrold and wife Diane, Moore, Oklahoma. A host of friends and relatives.
