All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Ford Herring PAMPA - Ford Herring, 82, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church with the Rev. Barry Loving, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Pampa, with Masonic rites by Pampa Masonic Lodge 966 AF&AM. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Herring was born in Glazier. He received his bachelor of business administration degree from Oklahoma State University then moved to Pampa in the early 1950s from Stillwater, Okla. For several years, he worked for Cabot Machinery Division. Mr. Herring owned and operated OneHour Martinizing in Borger for 23 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the First Christian and the Biscuit Ministry, Pampa Masonic Lodge 966 AF&AM, the Pampa Shrine Club, the Khiva Temple of Amarillo and the El Paso Scottish Rite Consistory. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. He married Valera Millard in 1958 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven Herring of Amarillo; a brother, Eugene Herring of Oklahoma City; a granddaughter; and three great- grandchildren.
