All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Bakersfield Californian 23 January 2004 WES LEDBETTER Services: Jan. 26, 11 a.m. Funeral service will be held January 26, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Tabernacle, Lamont for Lew Wesley Ledbetter who passed away January 22, 2004. Rev. Mark Ford will officiate the service and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District, Arvin. Wes Ledbetter was born July 21, 1930, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Cleveland and Lily Ledbetter. In 1943 he came and resided in the city of Arvin and Lamont. On May 9, 1984, he met Mary Courson and the couple got married. He worked as a ranch foreman for many years for Kisrkman Farms. He was a plant supervisor for Homa the last 20 years until illness forced him to retire. He loved golf and also enjoyed football and auto racing. He also was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle and was an adult Sunday school teacher. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him and knew him. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his sons: Joe and wife Susan, Mike and wife Susan, Gary, his daughters: Mary and husband Ron Warren, Diane and husband Wayne King; his stepchildren, Rick Todd, Russell and wife Susan Todd, Debra and husband Randy Courson, Sharon and husband Chris Wallis; his brothers, James, Ray, and Gerald; his sisters, Katherine Wren, Mildred Bankston, and Barbara Lutrell; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren, including many other relatives and friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Payne County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/payne/payne.html
