All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== McLennan, Zetta Brown Zetta Brown McLennan, age 87, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mrs. McLennan was born February 9, 1915 in Ripley, Oklahoma to Ira Lee and Ola Bennett Brown. Mrs. McLennan graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City, and later graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was married September 13, 1936 to Lamar McLennan Jr. After their daughter, Linda, was born Lamar and Zetta moved to Midland, Texas where their second daughter, Christie, was born. Later, Lamar's work took the family to Dallas and eventually to Houston. Following retirement from Texaco, Lamar and Zetta moved to Lakeway, Texas in the Austin area, where they lived until moving to Tulsa. Members of her family are her husband, Lamar; her daughters, Linda McLennan Reis and Christina MeLennan Wadley; her grandchildren: Karen Reis Harned, Kathryn Reis, Richard Reis, Lance Wadley, Andrew Wadley; and her great grandchild, Katelyn Nicole Wadley. Her sister, Nina Brown McDonald, preceded Mrs. McLennan in death. Graveside funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2002 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Those wishing to honor Mrs. McLennan's memory may do so by contributing to the Beacon Memorial Scholarship Fund at the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
