Former Resident Eliza Munns Funeral Slated

Eliza Arthur Munns, 57, of Liberal Kansas a former resident of Cushing, died
at Liberal Tuesday. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. friday in the 
Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home.

Interment under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home will be in the 
Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock. 

Munns the son of the late Robert R. and Mary E. Munns was born on a farm
southeast of Cushing in the Happy Valley community June 19, 1919.

He graduated from the Stroud High School.

He served in WW II.

Munns was employed as a polcie guard for the Kansas City Packing Company for
several years. For the past seven years he has been employed with the 
Naional Beef Packing Company of Liberal.

Relatives who survive are three sisters, Edna (Mrs. J.A.) Sadlerof Cushing,
Mamie (Mrs. Fred Dahlke) of Kansas City, Kansas and Ruth (Mrs. Ralph Rodebush)
of Shamrock, one brother, Dave Munns of Tulsa and several neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
