All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Fairlawn Cemetery--Cushing OK Cushing Daily Citizen April 23, 2007 05:41 pm Julia May Kennedy McKnight Julia May Kennedy McKnight, Cushing resident, passed away Saturday evening, Apr. 21, 2007, in Linwood Village at the age of 90 years. The daughter of the late Marvin Granville Kennedy and Erma Forster Kennedy, Julia was born on December 26, 1916 in Hardin, Ray County, Mo. She was united in marriage to William L. McKnight on Nov. 27, 1936. To this union three children, William, Patricia and Michael were born. She attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas where she met her husband and also attended Central Missouri State Teachers College at Warrensburg, Mo. She was a member of PEO Chapter AX of Cushing and a former chairman of Sun City Christian Women's Club, affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries in Kansas City, Mo. Survivors include her husband William of the home; two son's, William L. McKnight II and his wife Gail of Cushing and Michael K. McKnight of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter Patricia V. Johnston and her husband Chet of Frankston, Texas; four grandsons, Max McKnight and his wife Sandra of Chickasha, Okla., Steve McKnight and his wife Kim of Cushing, Michael Johnston and his wife Judy of Tyler, Texas and Brian Johnston and his wife Courtney of Tyler, Texas; one granddaughter, Melissa Chumley of Lufkin, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Isaac, Cole, Mackenzie, Alexys, Lauren, Brittney, Matthew and Kim; three nieces, Cara Lee Gardner, Jane Campbell and Nancy Seitz and other relatives and friends. Family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Floyd Family center. Services will be held Wednesday, Apr. 25, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Dr. Lonny Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stonecroft Ministries, P.O. Box 9609, Kansas City, Mo. 64134-0609, in Julia's name.
