Verlin M. Rains

CLANTON, Ala. - Verlin M. Rains, 69, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, in 
Birmingham.

Services were Friday in Martin Funeral Home Chapel at Clanton. Cremation 
was by Abanks Crematory at Birmingham.

Mr. Rains was born in Payne County, Okla., and was living in Clanton. He 
was a chef. He served in the Navy.

Survivors include three sons, Leon G. Rains of Clanton, and Merlin Rains 
and Shon Rains, both of Port Orchard, Wash.; two daughters, Dian Bird of 
Stillwater, Okla., and Debbie Garcia of Gilroy, Calif.; and 14 
grandchildren.
