Hope Cemetery--Ripley OK Cushing Daily Citizen April 20, 2007 05:29 pm James "Mike" Rickner joined his heavenly father on Monday, Apr. 17, 2007 at home with his family. Mike was 57. He was born on Mar. 16, 1950, in Drumright, Oklahoma the son of Russell and Blanche (Adams) Rickner. He graduated from Drumright High School in 1968. He continued his education and graduated from Oklahoma State in 1973. Mike worked for Amoco Pipeline for twenty-four years in Oklahoma, Utah and Kansas. At the time of his passing he was employed as a Safety Supervisor for Monarch Cement. Mike married Doris Ann Willcott on May 5, 1984 in Tulsa, Okla. From this union they were blessed with twins, James H. of Ottawa, Kansas and John M. of Manhattan, Kansas; Michele A. of the home; and Lee (Ron) Jarred and Brenda of Humboldt, Kansas; three grandchildren, Ronny, Nicholas and Mi-Cheyann Jarred of Humboldt, Kansas; and GeePa of Pistle also of Humboldt. Mike is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Rickner and his wife Treva of Chandler, Okla., and Ronnie Rickner of Okema, Okla.; two sisters, Judy Cox of Drumright, Okla. and Peggy Pinson and her husband Jim of Bristow, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews who were very special to him. His parents; a brother, David Rickner; and a sister Linda Rickner preceded Mike in death. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 19, 2007 at the Humboldt United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Apr. 18, 2007 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel. Memorials in his name may be made to "Camp Chippewa" and may be left with the funeral home. Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
