All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Perkins Cemetery--Perkins OK Eva Emmeline Ringwald Former Ripley postal clerk Eva Emmeline Ringwald of Stillwater died in Stillwater Medical Center Thursday Sep 9, 1993 at the age of 97. Services for Mrs Ringwald, a resident of Stillwater Nursing Home, will be Saturday Sep 11 at 2 pm in the Strode Funeral Home chapel. Internment will be in Perkins Cemetery. Memorials are being made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 NE 13th OKC 73104, for cancer and heart research. Mrs. Ringwald was born in Greenfield MO on Dec 22,1896, the daughter of Arthru and Disie (Clabaugh) Wilson. She lived with her parents in Dade County MO and at Ingalls, Ripley, Cushing and Drumright. The family made three trips by covered wagon between Dade and Payne counties. She attended schools inthose communities before enrolling in prep school at OSU in 1913. She graduated from high school in Greenfield MO in1918. Mrs Ringwald taught school at Markham, Rosebud and Council Valley schools. She married John W Ringwald in Greenfield on Jun 1, 1920. They lived in Payne County from 1920 until the present except for five years in Moscow KS. She was a homemaker until her children were grown, then worked for the U S Postal Service in Ripley from 1950 until her retirement in 1965. She was active in chruch affairs at the Ripley Christian Church and at the Ninth Avenue Christian Church in Stillwater. She loved flowers and was active in the Ripley Garden Club. She was a member of AARP. Mrs Ringwald was predeceased by her husband who died Jun 4, 1968; one son, Wayne Ringwald; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; three brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include 4 sones, John A, of Coyle, Dale R and Archie W, both of Stillwater, and Billy R, of Stonewall; three daughters, Wanda Lee Maddox and Valla V Sims, both of Stillwater, and Eva Lucille Terrel of Marble Falls TX, 16 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Julia Hoskins and Gertrude O'Hara, both of Greenfield MO.
