Small May 28, 1919 - Feb. 3, 2007 Resident of Antioch Born in Yale, OK, he moved to San Diego, CA, in the 1940s where he worked at Convair as a buyer of aircraft material. Moving to North American Aviation in Downey, CA, to work on the "Apollo Program," then to TRW Systems in Redondo Beach, CA. In 1970 he retired from the aerospace industry after 30 years and moved to Manteca, CA, where he and his wife Betty operated Lee's Shoe Repair for 17 years. They moved to Antioch in 1997. He loved fishing and telling stories. He was a member of Lemon Grove Masonic Lodge #736 for 55 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty; a daughter, Cladia and Jim Vanderheiden of Antioch, CA; a son, Leo A. and Shelle Small of Scottsdale, AZ; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, born Feb. 3; and a sister, Nathalea Moore of Tulsa, OK. Services at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in San Diego, CA, Feb. 10. His request: Please support Kaiser Hospice and their many fine people.
