Cemetery--Miami OK Vinita (Ok) Daily Journal, abt February 2, 1987 Wells Mrs. Maud Marie Wells, 86, former Vinita resident, died Friday at a Fairland Nursing Home. Wells was born March 3, 1900 at Hawkeye, Mo. to Ira and Hattie (Andrews) Reich. She grew up in Centralia and married Toy F. Wells in 1925 in Miami, Okla. The couple lived in Vinita and then Cushing until moving to Texas, where Mr. Wells was employed with the Phillips Petroleum Company for 20 years. The couple moved to Afton in 1947 and operated a farm. Mrs. Wells moved to Bartlesville in 1962 after the death of her husband. She was a Bartlesville resident until she moved to Fairland recently. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Roxanne Cox, Fairland; two sisters, Agnes Snider, Vinita; and Helen Lawrence, Shidler; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Wells was preceded in death by one daughter, one step-son and one step-daughter. Services for Wells will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church, Fairland, with the Rev. Lynn Nikkel officiating. Burial will follow in the G. A. R. Cemetery, Miami, under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Bartlesville. Family and friends may call at the Cooper Funeral Home, Fairland, from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
