Walker beloved wife and mother went to be with our Lord on August 23rd, 2005. She was born in Cushing, OK, May 20, 1924. She married her childhood sweetheart, Lonnie Walker on March 13, 1943 and was happily married for 62 years. She enjoyed working with her friends at Tinker AFB for many years before retiring and selling real estate. Her mother and father, Mary and Roy McKeown, and two sisters, Cassie A. Smith and Wanda M. Barnes preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Walker of their home, son, Lonnie L. Walker and wife Rita of Edmond, OK, daughter, Patricia Gayle Teter and husband, Steve of Yukon, OK. The loves of her life besides her husband and children were her four grandchildren, John S. Walker of Oklahoma City, Andrea Teter, Kristi Teter, and Steven Teter of Yukon, and one great-grandchild, Brigit Riley Walker of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by two sisters, Jean Rankin and Mary F. Allen. The family will visit with friends and relatives at Guardian West Funeral Home in Oklahoma City from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26th. The service in celebration of her life will be held at Western Oaks Christian Church on Saturday, August 27th at 10:30 a.m. Immediately following the service a luncheon will be provided for all attending, and the interment will be concluded at Oakdale Cemetery, Depew, OK. Those persons wishing to send contributions in lieu of flowers can do so to Western Oaks Christian Church, 8100 N.W. 23rd, Oklahoma City, OK.
