Barton, Etta Louvinia (Sparks) Oct. 14, 1925 - Nov. 12, 2006 Etta Louvinia Barton died on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at her Woodland residence at the age of 81. Mrs. Barton was born in Hartshorne, Okla., on Oct. 14, 1925, to James and Florence (Lackey) Barton. Mrs. Barton was a 1944 graduate of Sonoma Valley High School. She later worked for 20 years at the Sonoma State Hospital as a psychiatric technician. Mrs. Barton lived in Yolo County for the past five years, enabling her to be closer to her family. She had been a member of the Woodland United Fellowship Church since living in Woodland. Surviving Mrs. Barton are her daughters, Kimberley Dresel and Terry MacDonald, her stepdaughter, Dianna Van Dyk and stepsons, Robert Barton and Louis Barton. Also surviving are grandchildren, Yoshiko Peterson, Julia Peterson, Jessica Odom and Claire Dresel; two great- grandchildren, three nieces and five nephews. Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Barton, and brothers, John Sparks, Raymond Sparks and Williams Sparks as well as by a sister Eunice Steck, a stepson, Michael Barton and her parents, James and Florence Barton Services: A memorial service in memory of Mrs. Barton has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the United Fellowship Church, 204 N. West St. The Rev. Carl Morgan will officiate. Memorial donations in Mrs. Barton's memory may be made to the Woodland Community Care Car Program. Kraft Bros.
