Brents, Bernice Bernice, 86, passed away April 9, 2004 in Midwest City, OK. She was born on May 3, 1917 in Scipio, OK and grew up in McAlester; her father was a prison warrant for McAlester prison. She married Glenn Brents in Ada, OK on Aug. 15, 1939. She worked in the Ammunition Depot while the war was on and her husband was at war. Bernice lived a long life with many memories to be shared. She was a house wife who devoted her time to her grandchildren & enjoyed going on long drives. Her main ambition in life was to please her family. She believed in making her family smile, by spoiling them with whatever their needs were, doing without herself. Dad always said she would outlive us all, and she almost did. She will be loved and remembered always. We love you dearly Mom! Bernice is survived by 1 daughter, Patricia Derrick & 2 grandchildren: Tom & Chris Derrick, which she loved very much, and would do anything in the world for them. They were her life, especially since the death of her husband. She is also survived by her nieces & nephews: Dorothy Brasher, Bob, Johnny, Glenn & Dee Dee whom she loved and spoke of often; and close & dear friends, Mr. & Mrs. Delton Braun. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn on March 17, 1999; her parents; 4 sisters: Leona, Hazel, Rheba & Lillian; & 1 brother, Joe.
