Kathleen "Kay" Cottingham, 81, a retired businesswoman for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at a local hospital. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church. M. Kathleen "Kay" Cottingham was born Aug. 3, 1923, in McAlester, Okla., to John James Alexander Jr. and Marjorie Pusley Alexander. She was a member of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, United Methodist Women and Arlington Yacht Club for over 50 years, Business and Professional Women and Amateur Fencers League of America. Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Richard B. Cottingham; sons, Richard and James J. Cottingham; daughters, Lynn Cottingham DeNooyer and Nancy Cottingham; uncle, Bert Alexander and spouse, Shirley; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
