Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorn. Clarence was born to Clarence Curliss, Sr. and Margaret Evans November 29, 1931 in Hartshorn. He died December 31 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. He married Inez Argo September 26, 1953 in Gainesville, Texas. He was raised in Ardmore and served in the U.S. Navy during Korea. After the service, he worked in Oklahoma City. He moved to Sulphur in 1979 where he owned and operated an automobile parts store. He was Baptist by faith. Preceding him in death were one brother, Kenneth Curliss and his mother and father. Survivors are his wife; three sons, Ben Faron Curliss, Helena, James Neal Curliss, Ardmore and Donald Ray Curliss and wife, Kim, Ardmore; one daughter, Oleta "Jodie" Jones, Ardmore; 11 grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; one sister, Madalyn Ring, Pittsfield, Maine; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Pittsburg County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/pittsburg/pittsburg.htm
