Featherston, 56, a pioneer stockman who lived at Featherston, 8 miles west of Quinton, died at McAlester Sunday afternoon of acute Brights disease. Funeral services were held in the home Monday afternoon by Rev. W.W. Chancellor of McAlester. He was an Old Fellow and a prominent member of the Missionary Baptist Church. He was the founder of the town which bears his name and was a progressive, useful citizen. He leaves a widow and eight children, six sons and two daughters.
