Deceased had been a great sufferer for many years. She leaves two daughters and a son to mourn her loss. ========= The Hartshorne Sun APRIL 5, 1895 "MRS. HARRIETT FLOYD" The above worthy lady departed this life at her home in the west part of Hartshorne on the third (?)… Mrs. Floyd has lived in the nation for a number of years and had made many friends in her quiet way. She came to Hartshorne from Krebs a few days ago, not expecting to live long as she has been quite an invalid for several years, but her affectionate daughters watched closely over her until they have followed her to her last resting place by the side of her companion, at Savana, who preceded her some years. Our people regret that she did not receive better attention and more respect in her declining days and at her funeral, but the truth is most of her accuantances did not know of her having moved to our town. We tender our sympathies to her broken hearted children and urge our people to be more watchful for the sick and dying in the future that a consoling word and sympathetic tear may be given and thereby drive away trouble and distress.
