All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Obit for Charles Emmitt Fariell Charles Emmitt Fariell died Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 at his home in Quinton at the age of 82 he had been ill for the last ten years, and for the past year has been bedfast. The funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church as soon as relatives have arrrived. An obituary will be printed in the Quinton Times next week. Thursday, February 15,1961 Quinton Times FARRIELL, Emmitt (continued Feb. 22,1951) Charles Emmitt Farriell was born February 19,1868 in Miss. And departed this life February 14,1951 at his home in Quinton.His entire life had been spent in and around Quinton, having settled here when just a small child. His occupation was farming until retiring about 10 years ago. He was married to Sarah Lemmons in 1894. To this union were born 6 children, 3 of whom survive. Two sons and one daughter have preceeded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Sarah; J.M. Farriell, Amarillo,Texas; Jess Farriell, Dalhart,Texas, Hub Farriell, Quinton; one brother Jack Farriell, Quinton; 11grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. About the age of 15 Mr. Farriell united with the First Baptist Church at Spiro. Funeral services were held Friday, February 16 at the Baptist Church and interment was in the Quinton Cemetery. Quinton Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were; Bud Gill, Ernest Wilcox, Jim Russell, Bert Kelley, Marvin Kelley and Alonzo King. The men’s quartet sang; "Precious Memories", "We Never Meet Again", and "Farther Along", Rev. Prichard had charge of the service assisted by Rev.
