All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Noble IOOF Cemetery--Noble OK Cora E Franklin A illness of seven days ended in death Wednesday night for Mrs. Cora Ellis Franklin, 66-year-old resident of Oklahoma since 1910. She died of acute indegestion at her home, 1008 Northeast Tenth Street. She was the widow of Robert Franklin, a one-time farmer at Kiowa. She came to Kiowa from Texas in 1910, and liever there more than 20 years before moving to Atoka. Her husband died in 1919. Mrs Franklin lived at Atoka about five years, coming to Oklahoma City in 1939. She was a member of the Baptist church of Atoka, a Baptist for more than 50 years and a former member of the Royal Neighbors. Surviving are tow sones, J.E. of Dexter, NM and Lawson D, Coalgate; seven daughters, Mrs Docia Smith, Webbers Falls; Mrs. Isable Bidwell, Atoka; Mrs Melinda Cole, Atoka, Mrs. Ocie Hines, Stringtown; Mrs. Barbara Ferguson, Durant; Mrs Missouri Schnider, Kiowa; and Mrs. Gerea Summitt, of the home address; two sisters, Mrls Lettie Zachary, Houston, Texas and Mrs. Sallie Mantooth, Noble; 35 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted from Fairview Cemetery at Noble at 2 p.m. Thursday.
