Thelma is survived by daughters Lynn Adamson, Judy Allen, Mary Johnson and Nancy Cadle and sons John Garrison and Cliff Parris. Thelma is also survived by her 13 grandchildren. Thelma leaves behind sisters, Grace Miles, Carol Ruth Boberg, brother Owen Overstreet, 13 great- grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Thelma is preceded in death by her husband John Sherman Garrison, Sr., her grandson David Adamson, sister Lillie and brothers Bill and Lloyd. Born on June 10, 1925 in Dow, OK, Thelma moved to Oatman, AZ with her family. In 1940 she married John, and they moved to Calif. They raised their family in the Los Angeles area, 1963 they moved to Murrieta where Thelma had a commerical iris garden. After moving to Murrieta, Thelma obtained her Associate of Arts degree, became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked at Inland Valley Hospital until she retired. In 1995 Thelma moved to El Cajon, CA. Thelma will be remembered as a loving, selfless, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed. Thelma loved the Lord and was a member of Mapleview Baptist Church in Lakeside, CA where a celebration of life will be held on April 1 at 5:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary, 333 N. Vine Street, in Fallbrook.
