All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Memorial Cemetery--Warner OK Published in Muskogee Phoenix on October 25, 2006 Alma Ruth (Knox) Hughey 1923 - 2006 On October 23, 2006, Alma Ruth (Knox) Hughey moved through the door of death in her anticipated journey to be with her Saviour and her loved ones already gone ahead. Ruth was born in Scipio, OK in 1923 and in 1940 she married John Hughey. They lived most of their lives at Porum, retiring from Stark Bros. Nursery. Ruth was preceded in death by: her parents, N.C. and Eunice Knox, her husband, John, three sisters, Cora, Sylvia, and Margie, three brothers, Alton, Dale, and Ned, and one grandson Alton "Tuffy" Nichols. We who remain will miss her and cherish the memory of all the good she added to our lives as our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Her son, Dan Ray and wife Marie of Porum, her daughter, Mary Ellen Nichols and husband Larry of Jenks, a grandson, Kenton Hughey of Muskogee, three granddaughters Karla (Hughey) Aaron and husband Paul, and Tonya (Hughey) Langston and husband Dan of Arlington, Texas, Lori (Nichols) Stamper and husband Denzel of Jenks, three great grandsons, Brandon Aaron and wife Kristen, Kolton Aaron, Trey Stamper, four great granddaughters: Makenzie Hughey, Alanna, Olivia, and Zoe Langston, and Megan Nichols, one brother, Bill Knox and wife Bonnie of Harrah, OK, one sister, Eathel Goforth of California, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Porum Assembly of God Church, Porum, OK. Officiating: Rev. Bill Coleman and Rev. Bob Hancock. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Warner, OK under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory.
