Gertrude Henderson

Funeral service for Gertrude Henderson, 89, former Chickasha resident, 
will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2004, in the Chapel of 
Sevier Funeral Home.

Gertrude Henderson was born December 26, 1914, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the 
daughter of Walter C. and Mable (Wallace) Chambers, and died January 27, 
2004, in Helena, Montana.

Mrs. Henderson lived most of her life in Chickasha. She was a nurse’s aide 
for 37 years. She worked most of the time at Grady Memorial Hospital and 
worked for 10 years at the Senior Nutrition Center. Mrs. Henderson had 
lived in Montana for the last three years.

She was preceded in death by her son, J.W. Henderson, and her daughter, 
Peggy Romero.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Darlene and Marvin Howeth, 
Sr. of Helena, Montana; one daughter-in-law and husband, Wilma and Lynn 
Odom of Friend, Oklahoma; one son-in-law, Baudie Romero of Gordanville, 
Texas; one sister, Elsie Phillips of Florence, Colorado; 14 grandchildren; 
many great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Interment 
will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
