All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Arbor Vitae Cemetery--Mardera CA Jerry, age 73, was born on July 18, 1933, in Kiowa, Oklahoma and was a resi-dent of Fresno, California for 50 years. He passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007, at his Fresno home. Jerry was the son of Floyd and Mary Irene Hemphill. He was a welder for most of his life working for Claude Laval Corporation for the last 28 years. Jerry was a graduate of Madera High School, Class of 1951, and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He loved playing handball with the guys at Centerpoint Gym. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Gracie Albertson. Jerry is survived by his son, Craig Hemphill of Castro Valley, California; daughter, Linnetta Pope of Fresno, California; sister, Gladys Parker of Madera, California; and one grand-son that he was so proud of, Dillon Savory. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and his old dog, Lucky.
