All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bakersfield Californian Johnnie Loyd Lane 5/9/1910 3/21/2003 Services will be held at Shafter Cemetery where Johnnie will join his beloved wife of many years Syble Lane, who preceded him in death in 1995 after a long illness. Johnnie was born in Crowder, Oklahoma and moved to California in the later days of the great depression to make a better life for his young family. Johnnie was a car salesman most of his life after serving his country by building ships for the war effort during WWII. He was the son of Mack Henderson Lane and Mattie Lane. Johnnie is leaving behind many family members that loved him very much. He is survived by his daughters, Betty Williford, Linda Gaither, Suzy James and son Greg Lane along with grandchildren, Jeff Cochran, Christy Cochran, John Goodman, Terry Lynn Walker and many great-grandchildren, Michael Boyce, April Boyce, Cheyenne James, Nathan, Cody and Blaze Goodman, Jonathan Lane, Nicholle Stanley, Anthony Walker and great-great-granddaughter, Aubrey Lane. Johnnie will be deeply missed by all that loved and cared for him, he was a great father, grandfather and great-grandfather and touched the lives of many people with whom he worked and knew over his great lifetime of 92 years. We know you are in a better place and in a place with your beloved wife and mother and father, we know it has been a struggle for you to even breath since you lost Syble and now your breathing can come easy and painless and may you rest in peace.
