McGOWAN -- Howard Y., 83, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Tuesday, January 
9, 2007. Howard was born December 21, 1923 in Adamson, OK, to Gladys 
and John McGowan. He graduated from McAlester High School and proudly 
served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Howard was a retired salesman. He is 
preceded in death by: his parents; brother, John; sister Marie; and 
first wife, Mary. Howard is survived by: his wife, Lois; his 
children, Terry Reid of Broken Arrow, OK, Susan Peterson and husband, 
Mike of Bartlesville, OK, Larry Reid and wife, Melanie of Howe, TX, 
Sonny Gray and wife, Christina of Bixby, OK; sister, Madeline Taylor 
of Stillwater, OK; grandchildren, Kaitlin Peterson, Jonathan Reid, 
Cale Gray and Noah Gray; nieces, Marilyn Theole and husband, Perry of 
Stillwater and Pam Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK. Service 10 a.m., 
Friday, January 12, 2007, Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, interment Floral 
Haven Cemetery. Under the direction of Moore's Eastlawn Chapel 622-
1155.
