Manion Services: Thurs., June 2, 1:00 p.m. Lawrence H Manion, 93, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2005, at Parke View Care & Rehabilitation Center in Burley, Idaho. He was born December 7, 1911, in Blocker, OK, the son of Walter Newton and Artie Joiner Manion. They were blessed with five children: daughters, Helen, Lois, and Betty; and two sons, Loyd Preston and Lawrence Dwain. Lawrence has ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence Dwain and Mary Ann Manion of Burley, Idaho; three sisters, Edith Lobsinger of Wayne, Michigan, Loretta Davis and Evelyn Dunn of Bakersfield, CA; and one brother, Ed (Marlene) Manion of Commerce, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lora; his parents; 3 daughters; 1 son; 3 sisters; 1 brother; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Dad will be greatly missed by all of us who loved him. He was a very kind and gentle man and always put others needs before his own. What a great example he has been to all of us. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd. in Bakersfield, California, where friends and family may gather shortly before service time.
