Sternenberg zapot54@yahoo.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Moreland, Edward Obituary from Quinton Times Newspaper Aug. 27, 1931: "Car Crash Fatal To Local Man- Ed Moreland, about 29 years of age, a resident of Quinton and an employee of the Smelter, was instantly killed Monday night at 8:30 P.M. on the highway between Quinton and Featherston. Henry Peters was in the car with him at the time of the accident. The car was thrown off the highway turning it over and breaking Moreland's neck. Mr. Peters received only minor injuries. The deceased was brought to Quinton immediately after the accident. His survivors are, three children, two brothers, John and Ned Moreland of Quinton, three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Mrs. Tim Logan both living near Talihina and Mrs. Richardson of Amarillo, Mrs. Moreland having met her death about two years ago. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Internment was made at the Quinton Cemetery." Submitted by: Carol Sue
