QUINN My best friend passed away on December 30, 2003. She was also my beloved mother (daughter, Sandra Quinn) and the most incredible woman anyone could ever know. She was born on February 15, 1913, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the daughter of William and Mary Quinn. She was their late Valentine gift. She had one brother, Thomas Quinn (deceased), and three sisters, Lois Coon (deceased), Leanne Harms (deceased), and Georgia Kling (living in Moline, Illinois). Among her survivors are her cousin, Gwen Wakeley, a nephew, Ronald Coon, and several nieces. Catherine was an amazing woman who loved life. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling around the world, playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and enjoying time with her family and friends. She made life a joy and will be missed by everyone she touched and remembered forever. I want to thank everyone who helped her through this difficult time, especially Idalia (you were her angel), Margaret, Lorraine, Bill, Tony. Special thanks to Anita Firestone for her love and care given to my mother for so many years. Per Mom's request, she will be cremated and there will be no service. Any memorial contributions may be sent in Catherine's name to the American Heart Association the American Diabetes Association. I'll love you and miss you forever, Mom. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Pittsburg County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/pittsburg/pittsburg.htm
