All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Marie Rose February 9, 2007 Yuba City resident Marie Rose celebrated her 90th birthday with a family celebration at Casa Lupe Restaurant in Gridley. In addition, a luncheon was held in her honor Jan. 27 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Tierra Buena, where she has been a member since 1975. She was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Atoka County, Okla., and first moved to the Yuba-Sutter area in 1964. In 1994 she moved from Sutter to Montana and returned to Yuba City in 1996. She graduated from high school in 1934 in Kiowa, Okla., earning her diploma in three years. Later, she attended business school in Tulsa, Okla., and worked at a doctor's office in one of her first jobs. An avid reader, she also enjoys taking drives around the Sutter Buttes in the springtime. She and her husband of 55 years, the late Lee E. Rose, have five children: Linda Ward of Yuba City, Susan Jack of Lee Vining, Jim Rose of Visalia, Barbara Davis of Fort Collins, Colo., and Judy Lawrence of Sandpoint, Idaho.
