All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Oakwood Cemetery--Wewoka OK Richards, Mildred Jolly Mildred Jolly Richards, 94, passed away December 8, 2002, in a Midwest City nursing home. Graveside services will be held December 11, 2002, at 2:30 PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK with the Reverend Bob Winslow officiating. Mrs. Richards was born in Alderson, OK, on August 29, 1908, to W. D. Jolly and Maude Wilkins Jolly. She married Dan W. Richards on April 4, 1926, and they established their home in Wewoka, OK. Of this union, two daughters, Barbara and Shirley were born and raised in Wewoka, OK. She moved to Midwest City in 1950 and worked for Tinker Air Force Base until her retirement in 1973. She was a member of the Wickline Methodist Church of Midwest City for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; her loving husband, Dan who died on March 20, 1944; her dear daughter, Barbara Harriman who died on November 30, 2002. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Donald Turner of Del City, OK; grandson, Dan Vossen and wife Debra of Yukon, OK and Richard Vossen and wife Diana of Austin, TX; granddaughter, Shannon Johansen and husband Kris of Allen, TX; great grandchildren, Kevin, Adam, Avy, Jennifer, Jamie, Crissy, Krisha, and Jacob; two nephews and their families and two nieces and their families; a very special friend and caregiver, Peggy McMillian of Midwest City; and special friends, Feleburta and Maria. Our special thanks to the Midwest City Nursing Home and to Preferred Hospice of Oklahoma City. Her family wishes to give special thanks to her family physicians, Patrick Morgan and S. A. Kahn for many years of kindness and care. She will be missed by all who knew her and we were all blessed by her courage and love. Her total joy and devotion was her family and the youngsters were her true delight. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka, OK.
