Ramsey, Raymond    

Raymond Ramsey Oct. 16, 1911 - Aug. 13, 207 Raymond Ramsey, 95, of 
Grover Beach passed away Monday, August 13, 2007. Ray was born in 
Canadian, Oklahoma on October 16, 1911 to Homer and Ima Ramsey. In 
the early twenties, the Ramsey family moved to California, eventually 
landing in Delano, where Ray worked for the Hiett Dairy for over 30 
years. Ray met Lillian Whitney in 1938, at a party at the Delano 
Methodist Church, where they later married on December 21, 1940. They 
were a very happy couple for 66 years, until he lost Lillian on 
December 26, 2006. Although Uncle Ray leaves no children, he leaves 
many nieces and nephews who couldn't have asked for a better or 
funnier uncle. He will be missed by the Ramsey, Whitney, Wankum, Wade 
and Tate families, as well as many friends. Visitation will be 10 
a.m. - 3 p.m., on Friday, August 17th, at Marshall-Spoo Sunset 
Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. 
Burial and graveside service will be at Kern Cemetery in Delano, at 
11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 25th.
