SINYARD Published on January 24, 1997 The Santa Rosa Press Democrat Z.A. "Bob" Sinyard, a longtime truck driver, was pronounced dead Monday at a turnout on Interstate 80, near Auburn, where he stopped to put show chains on his truck. Sinyard's daughter, Sandra Bernardi of Cloverdale, said her father's truck stalled and was being pushed when he was stricken. Sinyard, 64, had a heart condition. He was born and raised in Ty, Okla. He enlisted in the Air Force when he turned 18 and served four years, ending at the Point Arena Radar Station. He met Audrey Snider in Point Arena. They married in 1955 and moved to Santa Rosa when he was discharged. Sinyard began driving trucks. He drove for Capital Lumber, Rolando Lumber and last for K.V.S. Trucking. His daughter said he was planning to retire in October. He loved driving, was a boxing fan and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's athletic events. In addition to his wife and daughter, Sinyard is survived by his other daughters, Terri Ackerman and Tamara Bernardi, both of Cloverdale; son, Tab Sinyard of Cloverdale; sisters, Arvilla Stewart of Eufaula, Okla., Von Horsey and Billie Carney, both of Stockton; and eight grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Chapel of Fred Young & Co. in Healdsburg. Memorial donations are preferred to the Heart Association of the Redwood Empire.
