All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bill Sirmans CANADIAN - Bill Sirmans, 64, died Tuesday, July 6, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Johnny Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Sirmans was born in McAlester, Okla. He lived throughout the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles before moving to Canadian in 1967 from Pampa. He was the warehouse manager for Dresser Magcobar Industries for 18 years. In 1987, Mr. Sirmans retired from the oilfield. He was a volunteer in distributing commodities and a member of First Christian Church and the Canadian Riding Club. He married Verna Dean Campbell in 1954 at Pampa. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1997 and by a son, David Bruce Sirmans, in 1980. Survivors include two sons, Michael Sirmans of Canadian and Robert Sirmans of Midlothian; a daughter, Christy Gallagher of Canadian; a sister, Mary Hughes of Canadian; two brothers, John Sirmans of New Mexico and Bobby Sirmans of Florida; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S. Fourth, Canadian, TX 79014.
