Sadie Shaw

HEREFORD - Sadie Shaw, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rose Chapel of Gililland-Watson 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Cosby, pastor of First Baptist 
Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Shaw was born in Hartshorne, Okla., and moved to Hereford in 
1937. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, Rebekah 
Lodge No. 228 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She married George Lewis Shirley in 1930 at Stratford, Okla. He died 
in 1968.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Smith and Kay Malicoat, both 
of Amarillo, Joyce Landers of Hereford; a son, Alvin Shirley of 
Chandler, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be to Hereford Senior Citizens and the 
American Cancer Society.
