Thos D. New officiating, only relatives and near friends being present to witness the ceremony. After receiving a shower of congratulations and best wishes, the bride and groom departed on the 8 o’clock car for McAlester enroute to their future home in Shamrock, Texas, where Mr. Kersh is engaged in business. Both the contracting parties are among the most popular in Hartshorne’s society circle and the best wishes of their host of friends accompany them to their Texas home. PATTERSON-VANDIVER The marriage of John C. Patterson to Miss Anna Vandiver was beautifully solemnized Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock at the home of Rev. Thos. D. New, Mr. New speaking the words which united them as man and wife. The ceremony was witnessed by only intimate friends of the bride and groom. They go immediately to housekeeping in their home in the first ward. Mr. Patterson is a valued employ of the Rock Island Railway Co., at Haileyville. The contracting parties enjoy a wide circle of friends who will unite with the Sun in wishing them many years of uninterrupted happiness and prosperity. The Hartshorn Sun, Thursday, December 31, 1914 CLEMONS-MCNEELEY Mr. Artis Clemons and Miss Edna McNeeley were married at the home of the bride in this city Christmas Eve, Rev. Thos. D. New being the officiating minister. PATTERSON-FALKNER The marriage of Mr. Andrew Patterson to Miss Allie Falkner was solomized at the home of the bride Christmas day, Rev. Thos. D. New officiating. The bride and groom left on a trip to Spiro to spend the holidays. The Hartshorne Sun, Thursday, January 22, 1914 BEVERTORY-LAYNE A pretty wedding occurred last Thursday evening at Gowen at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Layne, when their daughter, Miss Luelle, was united in marriage to Mr. Donald Bevertory. The home was beautifully decorated in mistletoe and bride roses. The young couple marched to the tune of a beautiful wedding march and stood under the bell of mistletoe. The bride is a charming young lady and wore an evening dress of white crepe de chene with a trailing veil and orange blossoms. After the ceremony the guest were invited into the dining room where a delicious supper awaited them. After supper the rest of the evening was spent in music and dancing. Mr. Blanche Darby was the first young man that danced with the bride. Many beautiful presents were received and at a late hour the guest departed, saying they never spent such an enjoyable evening.
