Johnson, 92, Wetumpka, formerly of Ada, Okla., are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Chapel, Ada, the Rev. Delbert Akin officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada. Mrs. Johnson died Feb. 6, 2003, at Wetumpka. She was born June 20, 1910, in Arkansas to Otis and Lula Jane Stamps McWhirter. She attended schools in Decatur, Texas. She married J.D. Johnson Oct. 30, 1927. He died Aug. 3, 1992. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She moved to Wetumpka from Ada in 1994. Survivors include a son, J.R. Johnson, Ada; a daughter, Norma Griggs, Wetumpka; a brother, Erton McWhirter, Tahlequah, Okla.; a sister, Mildred Mounger, San Bernadino, Calif.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. ADA - Graveside services for Benny Jones Sr., 60, Ada, formerly of Duncan, were Thursday at Duncan Cemetery. Mr. Jones died Feb. 4, 2003, at a Norman hospital. He was born July 10, 1942, at Duncan to Joel Eugene and Ira Velma Cox Jones. He married Linda Sue Doyal Nov. 2, 1963, at Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Jones was an active evangelistic minister. He moved to Ada in 1998. Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Jones, of the home; five sons, Destry Jones and John Jones, both of Duncan, Joel Jones, Tucson, Ariz., and Benny Jones Jr. and David Jones, both of the home; three daughters, Tina Cox, Mexia, Texas, Jennifer Jones, Duncan, and Dana Jones, of the home; and two sisters, Lucretia Jones, Dripping Springs, Texas, and Yvonne Kulbeth, Duncan. She moved to the Porterville, Calif., area where she worked in the school system as a cook and bus driver. She returned to Sulphur in November 1992. She attended Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. A lifelong resident of Sulphur, Mrs. Price had worked at the Chickasaw Phone Co. for more than 20 years. She was Pentecostal Holiness and attended Oak Grove Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorene Black; a grandson, Keith Hazlitt; and two stepsons, Hubert Price Jr., and Jimmy Lee Price. She was born Dec. 22, 1910, at Mountain Park to Roger and Beulah Inas Williams Brown. She graduated from Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha in 1936. She attended Central State College at Edmond and in 1954 began graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma and East Central University. She taught school at Horace Mann and Willard schools for many years. She married Roy S. Rives April 25, 1937, at Oklahoma City. He died Aug. 11, 1995, at Ada. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Survivors include a sister, Azalene Allen, Oklahoma City; three grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Randy Chapman officiating. Mrs. Lampkin died Feb. 8, 2003, at a Sulphur hospital. She was born June 20, 1919, at Davis to P.K. and Ida Mae Gilbert Cunningtubby. She grew up in the Davis area and attended school through the 11th grade. She married Otis "Buck" Lampkin June 18, 1940, at Davis. They moved to New Mexico in 1968 and lived there until Mr. Lampkin's death in 1994, at which time she returned to Davis. Mrs. Lampkin was a charter member of Sandy Baptist Church of Sulphur. Survivors include five sons, Billy Lampkin, Davis, Luther Lampkin, Rocky, Raymond Lampkin, Ardmore, Robert Lampkin and Gary Lampkin, both of Davis; two daughters, Mona Redden, Meadow Bridge, W. Miller, 77, DuBois, formerly of Ada, Okla., are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smithtown Community Church, Falls Creek, the Rev. Harold C. Hills officiating. Mr. Miller died Feb. 9, 2003, in a DuBois nursing facility. He was born Oct. 28, 1925, at Washington to Russell and and Leanora M. Cheek Miller. He lived in Ada for 24 years before moving back to DuBois in October 2002. He retired after a 40-year career as a supervisor for the box shop at Brockway Glass in Ada. He was a Protestant and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He married Louise E. Weary Bish Miller Nov. 2, 1974. He was preceded in death by daughter, Linda Bowling. Survivors include his wife, Louise Miller; two sons, Robert D. Miller, Washington, and William K. Miller, Glen Riddle; a stepdaughter, Sandra L. Edwards, Zion, Ill.; two stepsons, John R. A lifelong resident of Seminole County, Mr. Harjo was a veteran of World War II. He had worked in housekeeping at Valley View Regional Hospital for 26 years prior to his retirement in 1993. He died Aug. 4, 1985. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by a daughter, LaDonne Latimer on Feb. 15, 2000. Farron Oliver officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Stroud died Feb. 11, 2003, at a local nursing facility. She was born Jan. 18, 1912, in the Egypt community, west of Ada, to Will R. and Lou Ellen Stafford Corvin. She moved to California in 1936 and returned to this area in December 1948. She attended Egypt schools. Mrs. Stroud received a bachelor's degree from East Central University and a master's degree in education from the University of Oklahoma. She taught school for two years in Wanette and five years at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf, Sulphur. She married Frank E. Stroud March 3, 1928. He died July 22, 1982, at Ada. Mrs. Stroud was a writer, having had two works of poetry published. She was a longtime, active member of the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ervin Stroud, and an infant daughter. Survivors include two sons, Bob Stroud, Ada, and Rayford Lee Stroud, San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Dr. W.R. Corvin, Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Criswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. =============================================================================== Obituaries for Sunday, February 16, 2003 Ada Evening News, Ada, OK BARBARA DUTTO ADA - Memorial services for Barbara Mae Dutto, 70, Ada, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Brad Jones officiating. Mrs. Dutto died Feb. 13, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1933, at Hot Springs, S.D., to William Herman and Irene M. Dryden Manke. She graduated from high school in Aguilar, Colo. Mrs. Dutto came to Oklahoma in 1986. She moved to Ada in 1988 from Wichita Falls, Texas. She received a bachelor's degree from Regency College and also received a master's degree in accounting. She married John Mike Dutto in June 1952, at Trinidad, Colo. She was a homemaker and certified public accountant. Mrs. Dutto was affiliated with Seventh Day Adventist Church of Ada. Survivors include her husband, John Mike Dutto, Ada; a son, John Joseph Dutto, Clayton, Ga.; two sisters, Shirley Webster, Calvin, and Carol Cardwell, Wichita Falls, Texas; and two grandchildren. Glen Thomason officiating. Mr. Nall died Feb. 13, 2003, at Wapanucka. He was born May 21, 1933, at Elizabeth Town, Ky., to John Harden and Pearl Clinklesmith Nall. He married Polly Skaggs June 8, 1961, in Arkansas. Mr. Nall enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was affiliated with the Church of God. He was retired. Survivors include his wife, Polly Nall, of the home; three brothers, Elmer Nall and Robert Nall, both of Kentucky, and Chester Nall, West Virginia.
