A memorial service will also be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Coalgate, Okla. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. today at Phipps-Dale Funeral Home. Mr. Standridge died Feb. 14, 2004, at his home. He was born Nov. 22, 1937, at Coalgate to Litt and Maple Standridge. Mr. Standridge was a truck driver for many years as well as a supervisor for West Lake Farms. He was preceded in death by a son, Don Standridge, in 2002; his parents; and two brothers, Charles and Bill Standridge in 2003. She was born May 19, 1933, in the Jack Fork community to Thomas and Sallie Franklin Brown. She lived all her life in this area and attended Napier school. Mrs. Wright was a home health provider and a Baptist. She married Frank Wright Jr. Oct. 20, 1951, at Stonewall. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Viola Walker, Ruth Richardson, Wilma Black and an infant sister; and three brothers, Earl Brown, Kelly Brown and Eddie Brown. Burial follows at Maxwell Cemetery. Mrs. Lance died Feb. 19, 2004, at an Ada hospital. She was born Oct. 12, 1907, in Shiloh, Ark., to Sam and Kate Blevins Wood. She and her family moved to the Oil Center community in 1919 from Arkansas. She attended school in Arkansas and at Summers Chapel. She and Eugene "Gene" Lance were married in 1930. Mrs. Lance and her husband owned and operated Lance Grocery at Oil Center for many years. She was also a homemaker and attended Maxwell Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her husband, Eugene "Gene" Lance, Ada; a son, Ed Lance and his wife Joyce, Oil Center; a brother, Loy Wood and wife Olive Belle, Oil Center; two grandsons, Bobby Lance and Eddie Lance; four great-grandchildren, Redonna Lance, Bob Lance Jr., Bret Lance and Gregory Lance; a great-great- granddaughter, Shawna Lynn; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. McDaniel died Feb. 18, 2004, at Sulphur Veterans Administration Center. He was born Oct. 19, 1915, at Durant to Mitchell H. and Emma Barnwall McDaniel. He moved to Ada in 1929, attending Ada High School and graduating in 1933. He attended East Central University and earned a degree in physical education. He played four years on the ECU Tigers basketball team. Following graduation he worked for several years for the Oklahoma State Highway Department as the division accountant. In 1949 he joined the Bob Cason Ford Motor Company as office manager and bookkeeper. He remained in that position until he retired in 1987 from the Bowie Ballard Ford Motor Company. Mr. McDaniel was a member of Oak Hills Golf and Country Club for more than 50 years, a member of the Full Moon Dinner Club and former member of the Ada Elks Lodge 1640. He served in World War II with the U.S. Army 5th Air Force as a radio operator and aerial gunner on a B-25. He was stationed in the South Pacific from 1942-1945, completing more than 51 missions. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church, which he had attended for more than 60 years. He was a former member of the official church board and was a charter member of the Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School class. He and Sara Keltner were married Oct. 6, 1946, at Ada. Survivors include his wife, Sara McDaniel, of the home; a son, Mitchell "Mike" McDaniel, Calimesa, Calif.; a daughter, Kathy McDaniel, Bradenton, Fla.; a nephew, James Keltner Grigsby, New Iberia, La.; and two granddaughters, Danielle McDaniel and Jessica McDaniel, both of Calimesa. Bearers are Randy Taylor, Jimmie Thomas, Don Williams, Willard Rhynes and Bruce Omohundro. Mrs. Stout died Feb. 18, 2004, at Hickory. She was born Nov. 4, 1920, at Lexington to Perry Oliver and LaMilla Click VanOrden. She grew up north of Sulphur and attended school in that area. She had worked for several business in Sulphur including Artesian Restaurant, West Side Liquor and Sheegog’s Pharmacy. She married Floyd W. Crumb. He died June 1960. She later married Charlie Stout in May 1961. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Jimmie Crumb. Mr. Elliott died Feb. 20, 2004, at Stephenville. He was born March 21, 1915, at the Duster community in Comanche County to Joseph and Esther Elliott. He attended Tarleton and became a college professor. In 1980 he retired from East Central Oklahoma State University and in 1996 moved to Stephenville from Ada. Mr. Elliott served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion in Ada. He was also a member of the Patrick Street Church of Christ, Dublin. He and Winona Izard were married Nov. 11, 1955, at Fort Worth. Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Esther Elliott. Survivors include his wife, Winona Elliott, Stephenville; a son, James J. Elliott and wife Gayle, Stephenville; a daughter, Rebecca Reyes and husband Henry, Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Samuel J. She attended East Central University and received a degree in Education from the University of California-Berkeley. She retired as an elementary school teacher in Oakland, Calif. Mrs. Henry was a Baptist. She and Pete Flatt were married in 1942. He died in 1971. She later married Arlie G. Henry in 1973. He died in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include a son, Robert Arn Flatt and wife Leslie, Santa Rosa, Calif.; a stepson, A. G. She attended school in Ada, graduating from Ada High School. She attended East Central University and completed a bachelor¹s degree in business and education from Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee. She was a teacher at the Gordon-Cooper Vocational School for five years and later taught school in Ada for three years. She moved to this area in 1981 from Shawnee. She and Levi Jeff Orphan were married July 26, 1963, at Ada. She was a member of the Orphan Family Singing Group and traveled throughout the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Levi Orphan, of the home; three daughters, Rebecca Orphan, Vanoss, Maria Dawn Folsom, Lightning Ridge, and Mandy LaNell Orphan Nash, Oklahoma City; a sister, Dessie Marie Myers, Midwest City; six grandchildren, Myraya Sunshine Folsom, Breezy Folsom, Skyla Elizabeth Orphan, Talula Rose Folsom and Levi Jonah Folsom; a nephew, Michael Myers, Midwest City. Ms. Williams died Feb. 18, 2004, at a local nursing facility. She was born Nov. 1, 1928, at Herington, Kan., to Walter W. and Maggie O. Walker Williams. She graduated from East Central University with a bachelor¹s degree and later received a master¹s degree from the University of Oklahoma. She was the high school music instructor in Allen, Stratford, Minco and several other schools in the area, and also worked for a short time at the Ada Evening News. She then moved to Washington, D.C., and was employed with the Library of Congress as a musicologist. Later, she retired as a music instructor in Silver Springs, Ma. Ms. Williams was a volunteer for nursing homes in Ada, with Pontotoc County Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.), and Friends of the Ada Library. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Stanley Williams and Paul Williams; and four sisters, Ruby DeTonto, Juanita Gordon, Betty Sands and an infant sister, Milderine Williams. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, nursery worker and Sunday school secretary. She married James Alven Jones on Oct. 11, 1937, in Ada. She was a homemaker and had resided in Amarillo for most of her life. She had moved to Stratford 10 years ago. Survivors include her father, James McMinn, Amarillo; her mother and stepfather, Yolanda and Gary Crane, Amarillo; her partner in life, Aronn Franklin, Stratford; a brother, Randy McMinn, Amarillo; and a grandmother, Billie Jean McMinn, Amarillo. She was later a private nurse. She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild. Branscum were married Sept. 26, 1939, near Konawa. He died Nov. 17, 2001. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Branscum was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Branscum, Sept. 18, 1977; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
