Johnson, 52, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday at Smith- Phillips Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Bob Graves officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson died March 10, 2003, at Oklahoma City. She was born Nov. 11, 1950, at Ada to Coy Ike and Rachel Green Yancy. She married Anthony Johnson July 31, 1970, at Asher. Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Ada. She was employed by Jan Frances Care Center as a nurse's aide and received her certified medication aide through Jan Frances. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Anthony Johnson, Ada; two sons and daughter-in- laws, Keith and Tara Johnson and Kevin and Dana Johnson, all of Ada; and a grandchild, Brooklyn S. Johnson. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Uhlich died March 12, 2003, at a local hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1922, at Stonewall to Otto and Kathryn Johnson Uhlich. He attended Maud, Tupelo and Stonewall schools and graduated from Stonewall. He married Mabel Brannan Westbrook Sept. 15, 1969, at Durant. Mr. Uhlich was the bookkeeper for Dicus Supermarkets since Jan. 1, 1946. He was a former member of Ada Kiwanis Club and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Johnny Lawson; and a stepson, Jim Westbrook. Survivors include his wife, Mabel Uhlich, of the home; two daughters, Barbara Murphy, Moore, and Lynda Lawson, Ada; a sister, Bettye Dees, Ada; two grandsons, Tommy Lawson, Ada, and Brian Murphy, Moore; and three great- grandchildren. 'She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister; Ruby Downing. She attended grade school in Paradise and graduated from high SChObl in EI Paso, Texas. She married Lewellyn Jay Keel Feb. 2, 1948, at El Paso. Mrs. Keel came to this area in 1958 from El Paso. She was employed by Safeway and Furr's Supermarkets in Texas for over 15 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 40 years and taught children and youth Sunday school for 17 years. She was also a member of the Lydia Class and .the Rebecca Naylor Missionary Group of First Baptist Church, as well as the Federated Women's Democratic Club. She served as vice president for the local American Cancer Society and worked in local, tribal, state and federal campaigns for more than 30 years. She is preceded in death by a son, Jim Weatherford Keel. Survivors include her husband, Lewellyn Jay Keel, of the home; two daughters, Ann Bender and her husband, Frank, and Veta Wilson and her husband, Max, all of Tulsa; two sons, Lyndon Keel, Holdenville, and Jay Keel and his wife, Donna, Ada; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Plumlee died March 14, 2003, at Salina. She was born May 4, 1928, at Tupelo to William Henry and Jessie Landis. She attended school in Tupelo, graduating from Tupelo High School in 1947. Prior to her retirement from Phoenix Federal Savings and Loan, Mrs. Plumlee had served as head loan officer, vice-president and assistant manager. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary and lifetime member of the DAV auxiliary. She was also a member of Pryor Apostolic Church and the Choctaw Nation. She married Marvin Joe Teel. He preceded her in death. She later married Blackie Plumlee Oct. 13, 1981, at Miami. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Jessie Landis; her first husband, Marvin Joe Teel; brothers Alvin Landis, Orval Landis, Davie Landis and Lee Landis; sisters Thelma Cranfield and Nadine Harmon; and a son- in-law, Delbert Wood. She was born Sept. 27, 1927, at Maud to George L. and Juanita Human. She graduated from Ada High School. She married M.M. "Red" Norvill in 1946. He died Aug. 16, 1996. Mrs. Norvill was homemaker for many years and was the owner of Shoe Chale't until 1980. Survivors include a son, Greg Norvill, Oklahoma City; a daughter, Linda Spann, Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren. He had farmed all his life in Kiowa County and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He married Jo Kutch Aug. 10, 1941, at Hobart. She died Oct. 10, 1985. Mr. Holland was a member of First Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jon R. Holland. Survivors include a son, Jon P. Mr. Hensley was in real estate sales and had served in the U.S. Army. He was currently president of a horticulture club. He also served as the president of the Jaycees in 1997-1998. He was born Oct. 3, 1921, at Loco to Thea and Myrtle Golson. He was a 1940 graduate of Loco High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II. He married Vauda Van Hall June 29, 1946. Mr. Golson was a Boy Scout leader for more than 15 years, coached girls Little League basketball and taught numerous Sunday school classes. He served as an elder in the Church of Christ for many years and was an active member and leader of Muskogee Church of Christ. He retired from Getty Oil Co. after 30 years of service and relocated to Muskogee in 1983., Throughout his time with Getty Oil Co., he lived in Velma, Madison, Kan., Eldorado, Kan., Cunningham, Kan., and Cushing. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Arch Golson, Cliff Golson and Burl Golson; and a sister, Jewell LaBleu. Survivors include his wife, Vauda Golson, of the home; two daughters, Vauda Nell Cowan and husband, Mickey, Ada, and Janice Watson and husband, John, Muskogee; a sister, Nell Davidsson, Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, BJ. He was born March 27, 1918, at Humbolt, Tenn., to Alvin Owen and Emma Elizabeth Moore Jaggars. He came to Oklahoma as a child and settled in Hughes county. He was a 1936 graduate of Wetumka High School. He and Ethel Mae Woods were married March 21, 1942, at Weleetka. Mr. Jaggars was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He worked for several years as a meat cutter for Peixotto Grocery. In 1953 he relocated to California where he remained for 35 years. While in California he worked as a mechanic for Western Auto and later owned a laundromat, machine shop, small engine repair shop and several rental properties. Following his retirement, he returned to Oklahoma where he lived in Seminole and Wetumka before finally settling in Ada. He was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Jaggars is preceded death by two sisters, Darlis Faye Chadd and Vada Little. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Jaggars, of the home; a daughter, Kay Roberts and her husband, Ronald, Upland, Calif.; three brother Raymond Jaggars, Wetumka, Jarrell Jaggars and Therell Jaggars, both of Ada; two grandchildren, Dr. Mike Riley and Tiffany Ackerman; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Ackerman, Katie Riley and Hanna Riley; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Burial follows at Non Cemetery. Mrs. Garrett died March 21, 2003, at her home. She was born April 9, 1923, at Atwood to Homer and Lela Earnhart Greene. She was raised in the Atwood area and graduated from Atwood High School. She married Blan Gartett Nov. 1, 1941, at Stuart. Mrs. Garrett was a member of the Calvin Free Will Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Vera Peck and Dorothy Elizabeth; and two brothers, Earl Greene and Melvin Greene. Survivors include her husband, Blan Garrett, of the home; a son, Louis R. Garrett and wife, Lou, Gerty; two daughters, Linda Orr and husband, Tommy, Gerty, and Norma Holt and husband, Johnny, Ada; eight grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Bearers are Bob Guffey, Buddy Lawson, T.G. Adamson, Jerry Tollett, Paul Tucker, Millard Wainscott and Wayne Sandborn. She died March 20, 2003, at a local nursing facility. --- ROBERT REYNOLDS SR. BYARS - Services for Robert Gene Reynolds Sr., 67, Byars, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Union Hill Baptist Church, the Rev. Don Newby officiating. Burial follows at the Lie-Reyn Ranch at a later date. Mr. Reynolds died March 18, 2003, at a Fort Wayne, Ind., hospital. He was born June 2, 1935, at Ashland, Ohio, to Lester and Mary Edith Amsbaugh Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the. U.S. Army. A retired dairy farmer, he also owned and operated the Lie-Reyn Ranch. He married Becky Wenger Oct. 2, 1978. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Liebman. Survivors include his wife, Becky Wenger Reynolds, of the home; two sons, Robert Gene "Chip" Reynolds Jr., Ada, and Lester Ray Reynolds, Byars; a daughter, Deborah Dianne "Dee Dee" Reynolds, Ada; a sister, Joyce Hiatt, Wabash, Ind.; a brother, William E. Reynolds, Red Rock, Texas; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Helen Wenger, Wabash; and three grandchildren. McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Ind. --- BARBARA THAREL GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. - Memorial services for Barbara R. Tharel, 74, Green Valley, formerly Ada, Okla., were held in Arizona March 14. A private service will be held in Ada at a later date. Mrs. Tharel died March 11, 2003, at Tucson. She was born Aug. 23, 1928, in the Ada area to Robert James and Vasco Bumgarner Ross. She attended school at Pecan Grove, Okla., Roff, Okla., and graduated from Byng High School at Byng, Okla. She married James Tharel in 1971. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Elbert, Charles and John Ross; and a sister, Virginia Foster Myers. Survivors include her husband, James Tharel, of the home; two sons, Steve Miles and wife, DarIa, Asher, Okla., and David Miles, Green Valley; a daughter, Nancy Davis and husband, Jim, Ada; three granddaughters, Laura Dean and husband, Jason, Flower Mound, Texas, Allison Davis, Ada, and Jackie Miles, Tucson; a grandson, Jonathan Miles, Tucson; a great-granddaughter, Chandler Dean, Flower Mound; and cousins, nieces and nephews. Burial follows at Berwyn Cemetery, Gene Autry. Mrs. Woodward died March 19, 2003, at her home. She was born Dec. 15, 1911, at Comfort, Texas, to Walter E. and Bashuby Golden Smith. She married Orville Leslie Woodward March 5, 1932, at Berwyn. He died Sept. 26, 1993. A former resident of Ardmore, Mrs. Woodward lived in Ada since 1991. She was a graduate of Berwyn High School and was retired from Daube Department Store where she was a sales clerk. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Gene Autry. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Fred and Howard Smith. Survivors include a son, Ernest Woodward, Ada; a brother, W.E. "Buster" Smith, Lone Grove; a sister, Ann Wynn; two grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. Bearers are Dale Fox, Carl Gragg, Jerry Adams, Mike Howard, Carl Runyan and Lyndall F. Wates.
