Wayne Bryant officiating. Burial follows in Maxwell Cemetery at Oil Center. She died March 24, 2004, at Tecumseh. She was born March 29, 1929, at Cole to James "Jim" Samuel and Willie Woods Isaacs. She grew up in the Maxwell community and also lived at Gailey, Stratford, Purcell, Shawnee and Tecumseh. She attended Maxwell and Stratford schools and graduated from Purcell High School. She retired after a 35-year career as a telephone operator at Purcell, Shawnee and Oklahoma City. She was a member of Tecumseh Free will Baptist Church and enjoyed gospel singing. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Mary Louise Isaacs. Survivors include four sisters, Viola Doriski and husband John, Schaghticoke, N.Y., Ollie McCabe and husband Ralph, Bethel, Elizabeth McCown and husband Gene, Westbrooke, Texas, and Winona Herrmann, Agra; two brothers, Henry L. Isaacs and wife Velma, Tecumseh, and Don Isaacs and wife Nancy, Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cooper Funeral Home --- JEAN HEARD ROFF — Services for Jean Tinsley Heard, 85, Colbert, formerly of Roff, were 1 p.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. John Bauch officiated. Burial followed at Sunshine Cemetery. Mrs. Heard died March 26, 2004, at a Calera nursing facility. She was born Sept. 22, 1918, at Ada to Henry and Mae Pitt Tinsley. She lived in the Sunshine community until 1990. She graduated from Fitzhugh High School, and later from East Central University with bachelor's and master's degrees in education. She taught elementary school at Blue Mound, Fittstown and Roff, retiring after 32 years of service. She and Buck Heard were married July 28, 1940. He died July 3, 1984. She was a longtime, active member of Sunshine Missionary Baptist Church for more than 70 years. Marvin Knox officiating. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery. Mr. Endicott died March 27, 2004, at Stratford. He was born Dec. 27, 1911, at West Plains, Mo., to Joseph Henry and Nancy T. Colbert Endicott. He worked for Garvin County and later was owner/operator of his own dozer service. He served on the city council for many years and was also mayor and police commissioner. He was a longtime Stratford resident and member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Endicott was also a member of Stratford Masonic Lodge. He married Maxine Burnett Endicott Dec. 27, 1933, at Stratford. They were married 64 years. She died July 7, 1997. He was also preceded in death by two infant daughters. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Kirby. He was born July 5, 1926, at Great Kills, N.J., to Walter John and Adeline Bennett Sawler. He came to this area in 1976 from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He and Sarah B. "Sally" Beckley were married Sept. 1, 1953, at Colorado Springs, Colo. She died Dec. 13, 2003. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific, serving in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He also served in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1974 as a chief warrant officer with 30 years of service. He was an active member and past post commander and vice commander of the American Legion Post #1202. He also served as service and finance counselor with the American Legion. Mr. Sawler was preceded in death by five brothers, Walter Richard Sawler, Harry M. Sawler, William Henry Sawler and Joseph Douglas Sawler; and five sisters, Isabella Sawler, Elizabeth Kristiansen, Helen Adeline Bairesdofer, Gertrude Mataluni and Katherine June Dunkelman. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women's Association in Alaska. He attended school at Lawrence and Pryor, and graduated from Latta High School in 1963. He attended East Central University and received a bachelor of science degree in 1978. He and Judith Faye Isom were married April 21, 1967, at Ada. Mr. Brinlee was a quarry operator with Holcim Cement Plant for the last 32 years, was an active member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church and had served on the Latta School Board for the past 16 years. He served in the Army Reserves with the 701st Personal Service Company at Ada for 30 years, retiring as a CW3 Officer. He did a tour of duty in Egypt and Desert Storm. Mr Brinlee was preceded in death by his mother, Meta June Brinlee; and a grandson, Hagen Carlyle Brinlee. Survivors include his wife, Judy Brinlee, of the home; three sons, Shane Brinlee and wife Tina, Allen, Bart Brinlee, Ada and Clay Brinlee, Roff; his father, Herbert C. She was born June 21, 1928, at Lamesa, Texas, to Hollie Spencer and Mary Elizabeth Hudson Lunsford. She lived in this area until she was 13, then moved to California. She attended Eureka grade school. She returned to the Ada area in 1977 and was a grocery store clerk for 25 years. She was a member of the Retail Clerk's Union #1179 and the Church of Christ. She and Leon "Dub" Maddox were married in 1983 at Las Vegas, Nev. He died Oct. 11, 1999. Mrs. Maddox was preceded in death by her first husband, Hosie Elvan Logue. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Logue, Ada; a son, Eldon Duane Logue, Norman; three stepsons, Dalton Maddox, Allen Maddox and Mike Maddox, all of California; two sisters, Margaret May, Tupelo, and Helen Chambers, Ada; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
