Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Indian Cemetery in Eucha. Mrs. Day died Oct. 10, 2003, at her home. She was born Sept. 30, 1918, at Eucha to Harvey and Ollie Tanner Wilson. She attended Seneca and Haskell Indian Schools and lived in the Jay area with her family before moving to California. She was a homemaker and cooked for many years for Casa Bonita Retirement Center in Hemet, Calif., before relocating to Pickett in 1982. She and Glen Vernon Day were married in 1940 at Jay. He died Oct. 26, 1981, in the Hemet area. She was affiliated with Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was born March 25, 1916, at Nocona, Texas, to James Lacey and Gracie Shay Robertson. She came to Pontotoc with her family as a young child. She was a school teacher, having taught for 32 years in various communities around the Ada area. She taught for two years at the School for the Deaf in Sulphur, Pontotoc School, and nine years at McLish Elementary School. She retired in 1979. She and Lewis Gephart were married June 22, 1957, at Ada. He died Dec. 3, 1986, at Ada. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Marion, Marvin, Melvin and Leonard; a sister, Minnie; and two sisters who died in childhood. He was a minister of the First Christian Church in Skiatook, Okla., and Owasso, Okla. He and his wife started Specialized Home Life and opened the first licensed level 5 ICF group home in Bexar County. He served in the Korean War while in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Candy Lee Starr. She died April 8, 1990. He married Estelle McKnight Pennington Sept. 10, 1992, at Duqueene, Ark. He was also preceded in death by a son, Afton Eugene Pennington, and a grandson, Mark Pennington. He was born May 13, 1920, west of Ada, Okla., in the Pickett Community to Gladys and Arthur "Man" Mullins. He attended Pickett and Union Hill schools and Vanoss High School. He served with the Civilian Conservation Corps from July 1937 to July 1939. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Aug. 8, 1939, and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 2nd Infantry Division. He landed on Omaha Beach June 6, 1944, during the invasion of Northern France. He fought through France, Belgium, the Battle of the Bulge, Luxembourg, Germany and Czechoslovakia. He was discharged June 4, 1951, with the rank of staff sergeant and was awarded 12 decorations and medals including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Presidential Citation, with two Bronze Clusters and the Combat Infantry Badge. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a sister; and a son. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Jo Ann Mullins, Saginaw; two daughters, Kathrine Whitworth, Garland, and Linda Swindle, Frisco; a son, Larry Mullins, Garland; three sisters, Nellie Fay Terry, Chickasha, Okla., Lillie Mae Maxberry, Modesto, Calif., Margie Sheppard, Windsor, Calif.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Ray Talbott officiating. Mrs. Coates died Oct. 11, 2003, at an assisted living center in Woodland. She was born Oct. 3, 1919, at Ada to Jacob Frederick and Mary Lula Russell Frantz. She left Ada in the 1940s and moved to California. She was a clerk at Corner Drug in Ada for several years. She married Charlie Coates. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Braly died Oct. 16, 2003, at Sherman. She was born in Atoka County, Okla., to former Lieutenant Governor Cowboy Pink Williams and Daisy Lane Williams. She graduated from Ardmore High School, Ardmore, Okla., and attended the University of Arizona where she was a Chi Omega. She also studied at OSU and the University of Oklahoma where she majored in art and journalism. While at OU, she wrote a column for the Daily Ardmorite and later served as the women's editor for newspapers in Ada, Okla., and Wewoka, Okla. She received a degree from Southeastern State College in elementary education. She and James O. Braly were married Feb. 13, 1942, at Muskogee, Okla. They lived in Linz, Austria, following Mr. Braly's service in the Counter Intelligence Corps during World War II. Upon their return from Linz, they moved to Durant where Mr. Braly continued to practice law for over 50 years. She and her husband were president of the Washington Irving PTA. She was active for many years in Camp Fire Girls and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Durant, the American Association of University Women, Beta Sigma Phi, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She managed the two successful political campaigns of her father when he was elected lieutenant governor and state treasurer of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Braly; her parents; and a brother, Edward Pinckney Williams. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Schuepbach and husband John, San Antonio, Elizabeth Anne Jones and husband Ken, Sherman; a brother, Robert Williams and wife Anna Marie, Ardmore; and five grandchildren, John, James, and Caroline Schuepbach, and Chris and Laura Jones. She attended Northview School east of Tecumseh. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. ladies auxiliary Post 1202. She was also a volunteer at Jan Frances Nursing Center and was affiliated with Trinity Baptist Church. She and Elmer Perry Love were married June 29, 1932. He died Sept. 16, 1997. Survivors include three sons, Harold Love and wife Frances, Glenn Love and wife Virginia, all of Ada, George Love and wife Martha, Oil Center; two brothers; two sisters; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was employed at Liberty Bank in Oklahoma City and later she was employed at First National Bank in Ada for many years. She was affiliated with First Baptist Church. She and John B. Dailey were married Nov. 10, 1946, at Oklahoma City. He died April 2, 1979, at Hot Springs, Ark. Survivors include a nephew, John G. Henson, Washington, D.C.; and three nieces, Kathy Eveland, Farmington, N.M., Hailey Jean Clark, Norman, and Margaret Ann Perry, Midland, Texas. Bearers are Oliver Parker, C.B.
