Mrs. Gibson died Oct. 18, 2003, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born March 25, 1957, at the Seven Shooter community near Pauls Valley in Garvin County to Gaston and Anna Belle Wallace Hickman. She was raised in Roff and graduated from Roff High School in 1977. She later lived in Pauls Valley and then the past eight years, she made the Oklahoma City area her home. She worked as a certified nurses' aide and later became a certified respiratory therapist. She was a member of Sandy Hill Baptist Church. She was a foster parent for seven years. She and Anthony Gibson were married Nov. 10, 1978, at Pauls Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Anna Belle Hickman. She graduated from Davis High School, where she was salutatorian and member of the National Honor Society. She earned a bachelor's of science degree in education in 1957 from Central State University at Edmond, and a master's degree from East Central University at Ada. She was an elementary school teacher at Rich Valley in Canadian County, Cheyenne-Arapaho Indian School at Concho, Moore Public Schools and Ada Public Schools. After her retirement from teaching, she was self-employed with Unique & Unusual Arts and Crafts. She was a member of Ada First Baptist Church, where she was baptised in 1953. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Iota, Ada, Okla., and National Education associations, Ada Retired Teachers Association and Order of Eastern Star. She was Teacher of the Year at Moore in 1974. She married Harold Hall Aug. 25, 1949, at Turner Falls' Chapel in the Hills. He died Sept. 30, 2003, at Norman. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Lee Clark; a son-in-law, Glen Risinger; a brother, R.L. Butler Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dewey and Nettie Mae Hall; a sister-in-law, Peggy Jo Hall; a nephew, Chad Derek Hall; her parents, Robert Lee Butler Sr. and Callie Butler. She was a longtime member of Church of Christ and attended Stratford Church of Christ for the past 25 years. She married Marvin Monroe Dennis March 6, 1938. He died in 1958. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Breanna Dawn Wood; two brothers, Marvin Roe and Vyrle Roe; and three sisters, Mildred Kelly, Loretta Boice and Dorothy Lamb. ROFF - Services for Joseph Bailey "Joe" Dean, 74, Roff, are 11 a.m. Saturday at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, the Rev. Jack Kemper officiating. Mr. Dean died Oct. 29, 2003, at Roff. He was born Sept. 10, 1929, at Iowa Park, Texas, to Joseph Bailey Dean Sr. and Addie Lynda Bradford Dean. He attended school at El Paso, Texas. He served in the U.S. Naval Service, where he was a lab technician. He also served as hospital administrator at Wickenburg Community Hospital, Wickenburg, Ariz. He was self-employed as a farmer. He was a member of Hassayampa Masonic Lodge 37, Wickenburg. He was also past master and past worthy patron of Eastern Star. He married Margaret Fisher Dean July 22, 1950, at Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by a son, Bradford Bailey Dean. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Dean, of the home; two daughters, Peggy Sue and husband Dan Atwood, Ada, and Cheryl Denise Dean, Cortez, Colo.; two sons, Frank Wesley Dean and Douglas Floyd and wife Kaye Dean, both of Cortez, Colo.; two brothers, Clinton C. Dean of Cortez, Colo., and William H. Dean, of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Ella L. Jerome and Betty Jo Jackson, both of Jemez Springs, N.M.; eight grandchildren, Misty Lynn Boyd, Dustin Joseph Atwood, McCarren Elizabeth Caputa, Whitney Michelle Dean, Kassandra Kaye Dean, Christopher Ryan Atwood, Krystle Jo Dean and Scott Douglas Dean; and a great- granddaughter, Paisleigh Grace Atwood.
