Frank Trent will officiate. Family will receive friends from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home. Mrs. Martinez died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Wewoka. She was born Aug. 31, 1958 in Oklahoma City to Howard and Charlene Newton. She attended grade school and high school in Omaha, Neb. She moved to this area last year from Wewoka. She married Jose Martinez on Feb. 14, 1995. Mrs. Martinez was a health care provider, certified medicine administrator, certified nurse's assistant and habilitation training specialist. She attended the Church of God, and a member of the Red Hat Society. Survivors include her husband, Jose Martinez, of the home; two sons, Daniel Russell, Wewoka and Joseph Russell, Hastings, Nebraska; one daughter, Kama Smith and her husband Nathan, Ada; a step-brother, Charles Cheek and wife Darlene, Columbus, Neb.; a grandson, Preston Russell, Hastings, Neb.; and an aunt, Juanita Brown and husband George, Shawnee; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents. He graduated from Horace Mann High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He was stationed at Kaiserslauten, Germany. He was a truck driver and also worked for MVP Fuels at Decatur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Pearl Walker. Mr. Collings died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at a Noble nursing home. He was born May 13, 1916, at Mangum, Oklahoma to Roy and Betty Caton Collings. He lived most of his life in the Ada area. He attended school at Byng. He married Frances Nadine Howard Dec. 27, 1938, at Lawrence. In the early 1940s, Mr. Collings drove a truck for Swift Company for 15 years. Later, he co-owned and operated a mechanic shop on West 12th Street in Ada. In 1967, he and his son, Robert Collings owned and operated a filling station on West Main Street in Ada, he then semi-retired in 1982. Mr. Collings was also a co-owner of Collings Automotive with his brother, Earl Collings. Mr. Collings was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a Charter Member of the Ada Gun Club. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Camille Blevins Oct. 9, 1952. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Phillips. She married Bedford Forrest “Bud” Murphy Dec. 24, 1930, at Union Valley. He died Aug. 13, 1995, at Healdton. Mrs. Murphy moved to Rush Springs in 1957 and then to Healdton in 1993. She was a homemaker and member of Stonewall, Rush Springs and Healdton First United Methodist churches. She was a member of the choir and taught children’s Sunday school for adults for many years. Mrs. Murphy served as president of United Methodist Women for many years and was active in mission work. She was also a cook for the Lions Club luncheons for many years. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator for many years. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Ada and a member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneers. He later worked as a heavy equipment operator for Stallings Construction, retiring in 1982. He was a longtime member of the Union Valley Baptist Church. Burial follows at Little Cemetery. He died Friday at a Shawnee hospital. A lifelong resident of Little, he graduated from Prairie Valley High School and Seminole Junior College, where he was a member of one of the college’s first basketball teams. He received a bachelor’s degree from East Central State College, Ada, and a master’s degree in education from the University of Oklahoma, Norman. He also received his administrator’s certification from OU. Warrenburg began his career in education in 1939 as a teacher and coach at Prairie Valley School. In 1941, he was hired as the high school principal at Pleasant Grove School. In 1942, he accepted a position at Varnum Schools, but taught only one semester before being drafted during World War II. He served stateside in the medical corps at Fort Sill and Olympia, Washington. His service career continued until February, 1946, when he returned to Varnum to serve as high school principal. During his 38 years of service to the Varnum Public School System, he taught math and science, coached baseball and men’s basketball, and served as superintendent from 1954 until his retirement in 1980. Warrenburg was a past president of the Seminole County Teachers Association and served as vice president of the Seminole County Retired Teachers Association. He was on the Board of the Seminole Historical Society. Warrenburg also served as the Seminole County election board inspector for the “Little” precinct for many years. In 1995, he was honored by the Varnum Alumni Association for his many years of service to the school with induction into the Varnum Hall of Fame. He was also among the first graduates to be inducted into the Seminole State College Alumni Hall of Fame in 1994. Warrenburg taught adult Bible classes and served as an elder for the Church of Christ at Little for 55 years. He also served as treasurer for the church for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Della Warrenburg; and a sister, Rita Beall. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in June 1953 and served as a technical sergeant at Fort Sill, Okla., and overseas in Korea and Japan. He attended Emory Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Ga., received his deacon ordination and served a three church charge in the Atlanta area, before working at Hartford Insurance Co. in Tallahassee, Fla., as an insurance adjuster. Also, he worked in the insurance division of TG&Y. Corp. in Oklahoma City, as vice president of Insurance, Budget Rental Car Corp., Chicago, and Southwest Insurance Co., Dallas. He began work as a training consultant for the Fred S. James Co. in 1987. Mr. Pryor was employed at Tornado Alley Heat and Air at the Ada Airport until his retirement. He was formerly employed with Jackson Plumbing and as a mechanic for Don Hayes Cadillac. Mr. Pryor was of the Holiness faith and he served in the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Thomas died April 27, 2005, at Tulsa. She was born Jan. 19, 1919, at Center to Edd A. and Jessie Oglesby Stevenson. She married Clit Lee Whisenhunt in 1940. He died in 1968. In 1974, she married Virgil Thomas. He died in October 2004. She graduated from East Central State College, Ada, in 1963 and taught first grade for more than 20 years at Lindbergh Elementary in Tulsa. She was a member of Southwood Baptist Church in Tulsa for many years and was also a member of Central Baptist Church at Owasso. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the senior church choirs and other church activies for many years.
