Monday at Bishop Chapel of Memories, McAlester, U.S. Navy Chaplain Nick Hamilton officiating. He will receive full millitary honors by Battery Fox, 2nd Battalion 14th Marine, Oklahoma City. Mr. Folger died April 26, 2005, at Ada. He was born Jan. 25, 1981, at Las Cruces, N.M. To Guy D.and Martha Lopez. He graduated junior high school at Krebs School in 1996, and graduated from McAlester High School. in 2000. Mr. Folger enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves where he was a lance corporal in the Battery Fox, 2nd Battalion 14th Marines, Oklahoma City. He worked as a stocker at Wal- Mart while living at McAlester, and later worked for Wal-Mart of Ada. He also worked at Solo Cup Company, Ada. She lived in Oklahoma City until 1973 when she moved back to Ada. She married Kenneth G. McMillan Aug. 8, 1964. He died May 11, 1998, in Ada. Mrs. McMillan attended Abundant Life Tabernacle. He married Tammy Wilson March 5, 1988, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Castillo was an antique dealer and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He married Nanielyene Honeycutt Feb. 7, 1955, in Ada. He married Janie Driskill Sept. 17, 1995, in Ada. Mr. Driskill was a truck driver for Central Freight Lines. He was a Baptist and had served in the U. S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Janie Driskill, Keota; three daughters, Vickie Simpson, Francis, Lynn Atkeson, Ada, and Carol Walton, Springdale, Ark.; one son, Lloyd L. She was born Feb. 22, 1912, in Forman, Ark., the fifth of 12 children born to William Benjamin and Sarah Elvira Reid Henry. She lived most of her life at Stratford and was a beautician and member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher for more than 30 years. She married Cecil Burkhart Nov. 5, 1947, at Stratford. He died July 30, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, William and Sarah Henry; six brothers, Virgil Rector, Orville Otis, Walter Othal, Elias Hayes, Kelsey Oather and Warren Harold Henry; three sisters, Emma Ruth Henry, Delphia Edith Absher and Floy Nadine Offenbacher. Mr. Payne died April 30, 2005, at an Ada hospital. He was born March 11, 1922, at Healdton to B. and Gladys Harvey Payne. He was a 1940 graduate of Ardmore High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma Law School in 1949 and served two terms as state representative. He was Carter County’s attorney from 1958-1964 and retired as chief attorney from the Oklahoma Department of Transprotation legal division. He was a member of the Bar Assocation and past president. He and Helen Segroves were married in 1941 in Hollywood, Calif. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Thomas, March 25, 2005. Ms. Jennings moved from Norman in 1946 to Fittstown, where she lived for many years. She worked at Jesse Schools in the cafeteria as a cook. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Stonewall for 20 years. Mrs. Richardson died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at a nursing home in Tulsa. She was born Oct. 24, 1903, at Olney, Indian Territory, to Josiah and Martha Olive Austin Fox. She married Louis Richardson Aug. 6, 1921, in Ada. He died Aug. 7, 1988. They were married 68 years. Mrs. Richardson was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene in Stonewall and later Ada. She moved to Tulsa in 1992 to be near her family. Survivors include a daughter, Helen Turner, Tulsa; three grandchildren, Keith Turner and wife Elaine, Bartlesville, Sharon Kannady and husband David, Jenks, and Kent Turner and wife Kenna, Watonga; and eight great-grandchildren. He moved back to this area in 1994 from Norco, Calif. Haines Pitts, 95, Arlington, Wash., were April 15, 2005, at Pomona Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum in Pomona, Calif. Frank Castrejon officiated. Mrs. Pitts died April 3, 2005, at an Arlington, Wash., hospital. She was born May 17, 1909, in Ada, Okla., to William and Ann Dew Haines. She attended school at Latta, Okla., and graduated from Horace Mann High School in Ada, and May 18, 1927, she graduated from East Central State Teacher's College (East Central University.) She taught in the Francis and Latta schools in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. She moved to California in 1941. There she taught in La Puente, Pomona and Chino school districts. Retired from teaching, she was a member of the California Retired Teachers Association. She was of the Southern Baptist faith and member of Order of Eastern Star chapter 159 in Oklahoma. She was affilhited with Order of Eastern Star Chino Valley Chapter 330 and Tehachapi chapter 313 where she was a past Matron. She married Clarence F. Pitts, June 1, 1939. He died Oct. 25, 1980. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Ann Pitts, in 1940; her parents; two brothers, Raymond Robbins and Leo Robbins; two sisters, Majorie Soutee and Helen Brown. Mr. Owens died Friday, April 29, 2005 at his home in Henderson. He was born November 24, 1940 at Byng to Jim W. and Laura A. Walker Owens. He graduated from Byng High School in 1959. While at Byng High School, he excelled in basketball, baseball and academics. Mr. Owens joined the U. S. Army in October, 1959 and made it his profession and home for the next 30 years. His duty’s assignments included Alaska, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Japan, South Vietnam and West Germany. He retired from the U. S. Army in May, 1989. His military awards included the Silver Star, Bronze Star with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Medal with 6 service stars, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with 2nd Palm device, Republic of Vietnam Staff Service Medal-2nd Class, and numerous other awards of merit and commendation. He also served with United States Joint Service Military Support Elements in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. An avid conservationist, he obtained a Master Conservation Certificate from the North American School of Conservation in October, 1968. He was an Order of the Arrow, by ordeal, recipient for the Boy Scouts of America. He married Renate Heer on June 16, 1987 in Wildflecken, Germany. Survivors include his wife, Renate Owens, of the home; four daughters, Roxanne Ritter and husband Charles, Moore, Danielle DeLint, Portland, Oregon, Heike DeNozzo and husband Carmine, Germany, and Claudia Schaub, Germany; a son, Oliver Dziuba and wife Cora, Germany; two brothers, Sammy Lee Owens, Byng and Dewey James Owens, Bulverde, Texas; two sisters, Betty R. He retired from the Robert S. Kerr Research Lab in 1980. Later, he owned and operated Environmental Resource Technologies Laboratory before retiring in 2000. Mr. Benefield served in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years. He was stationed in Newfoundland, Alaska and South Carolina and also with the Public Health Service for four years in Minneapolis, Minn. Army Air Corps during World War II, and was a member of Park Plaza Church of Christ in Tulsa. He married Norma O’Neal on Oct. 4, 1946, in Ada. Survivors include his wife, Norma, of the home; one son, Phillip Hopper and wife Susan, Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter, Michelle Hamm and husband Greg, Houston, Texas; grandson, Carson Hamm; one brother, Fred Hooper and his wife Sue Hopper, Ada; and numerous other relatives and friends. She also served with the Pontotoc County Election Board as a volunteer for elections. She moved to Branson in 1995 from Ada. She married Austin Kidwell on Dec. 27, 1937. He died Oct. 13, 1998. She was born July 14, 1921, in Clarita to Robert and Lessie Meeks Dempsey. She lived in the Ada area most of her life and moved to Oklahoma City in early 1990s. She married Barney W. Hall Sept. 27, 1941, in Ada. Mrs. Hall was the owner of a cafe in Stratford, a homemaker and a member of the Linn Avenue Pentecostal Holiness Church in Oklahoma City. Survivors include her husband, Barney W. Hall, of the home; a daughter, Sandra Trench, Oklahoma City; a son, Charles Hall, Asher; a sister, Indolia Wallace, Ardmore; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She moved to this area in 1961 from Oklahoma City. She married Joseph Dolphus Lewis May 2, 1938, in Midwest City. He died Aug. 21, 1961, in Norman. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Bob Lewis, Tupelo, and A. D. Lewis, Bridge Creek; a daughter, Sue Berry, Stonewall; two brothers, Luke Brooks, Stockton, Calif., and Bob Brooks, Kiowa; two sisters, Stella Radliff, Luther and Betty Martindale, Savanna; five granddaughters and three grandsons; seven great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jo Tomlinson, Aug. 4, 1986.
