Burial follows at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mr. Eischeid died Dec. 1, 2006, at an Ada hospital. He was born Sept. 24, 1928, at Ada, to Henry and Anita Zoeller Eischeid. He was raised in the Konawa area and graduated from Konawa High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from East Central University, Ada. Mr. Eischeid enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the end of World War II and received an honorable discharge. He later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was a fighter pilot during the Korean War, having received numerous medals. He attained the rank of lieutenant colonel and retired from the armed forces July 31, 1974, having served for 30 years. Mr. Eischeid married Marie Nicklas Nov. 3, 1984, at Sacred Heart. After retirement, Mr. Eischeid worked on his cattle ranch outside of Konawa. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Andrea Douglas; and a sister, JoAnn Newton. He was born March 27, 1919, at Plymouth Wis., to Alfred P. and Elsa Wessel Boeger. He attended school at Plymouth and graduated valedictorian of his class. Dr. Boeger received his bachelor’s, masters, and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Wisconsin. He taught history at East Central University from 1953 to 1989, he retired as chairman of the history department after thirty-six years of teaching. He continued teaching part-time from 1989 to 2001. Dr. Boeger was an active member of Ada First Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Grace Sternquest June 15, 1957. Survivors include his wife, Grace Boeger, of the home; a daughter, Nancy Ann McDaniel and husband Ron, Tulsa; a son, Fred Earl Boeger and wife Rhonda, Udall, Kans.; and a grandson, Eric Wayne Factor and wife Brooke. He was born Dec.13, 1918, at Hart, Okla., to William A. Roberts Sr. and Virginia Hill Roberts. He married Jeanne Wilhelm April 27, 1964, at Abidjan, Africa. She died Aug.16, 2003. Mr. Roberts was a technical sergeant in the U. S. Air Force until his retirement, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. She graduated from Ada High School and attended the Chickasha School for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma and later graduated from the Hillcrest School of Nursing. She was married to George H. Weaver of Tulsa for 55 years and they lived in Tulsa for several years before he retired and they moved to Matlacha, Fla., where they lived for eight years. They moved to Temple seven years years ago where they were volunteers. Mrs. Weaver received her “200-hour” pin from the Veterans Administration. She was also active in the Newcomer’s Club. She was born Oct. 31, 1926, in Hickory to Henry David Moore and Lonie Welch-Moore. She grew up and attended schools in Hickory. After graduating, she attended East Central University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree. On May 23, 1947, she married Edgar Paul Stidham in Sulphur. The couple relocated to several Hereford ranches around the state, however Mrs. Stidham continued her work with the Department of Human Services. She was active in local 4-H clubs and community activities such as “Field Days” and the County Republican Party. Mrs. Stidham moved to Broken Arrow in March 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Paul Stidham; a son, Paul Francis Stidham; and two brothers, Cecil Moore and Clede Moore. He attended school at Roosevelt and Goodhope and graduated from Varnum High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business management from East Central University and a minor in economics. Mr. Powers was the chief operations officer at Valley View Regional Hospital, retiring in 2004, after 42 years of service. He was a member of Kiwanis Club of Ada and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. He married Linda Roberts May 27, 1962, at Ada. Mr. Morris taught in the Deer Creek School District and resigned as an elementary principal. After moving back to Ada in 1979, he worked for and later owned Gregory Pest Control. Mr. Morris was a member of Kiwanis Club of Ada for 23 years and a member of National and Oklahoma Pest Control Association. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 until 1963. He married Claudine Marler in 1969. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carlyn Allen. Taps will be played by his grandson, Matthew Castleberry. The family will recieve friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home. Mr. Spooner died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at a local hospital. He was born July 4, 1928, at Iowa City, Iowa, to Jasper H. and Lena Henryetta Fetkinhier Spooner. He attended school in Iowa. He entered the U.S. Navy on May 8, 1944, and received Naval education for nuclear reactors. He was a master chief, PO-E9 on the U.S.S. Enterprise retiring in 1972. He served 25 years of active service and five years of reserve service. Mr. Spooner served during World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Mr. Spooner was an active member and church deacon of the Ada Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, and received a preacher’s license Nov. 16, 1995. In 1986, he was the Royal Ranger Commander, Childrens Church Sunday school teacher in Konawa, member of the church choir, president of the Konawa Rodeo Round-up Club Association, president of the ORCA, leader of the town of Wolf Security Patrol, and parade coordinator for the Konawa Band Day. He was the Voice of Democracy for Konawa, Latta, and Vanoss schools, Royal Ranger Commander and Men’s Ministry director for New Horizon Conference. In 2000, he was the Eastern Oklahoma Conference International Pentecostal Holiness Church Field Supervisor for the Disaster Relief, USA, (DRUSA). He was the All American Commander of Post 11194 in 2001 and 2002, a member of the Oklahoma Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the only commander for VFW Post 11194 until December 2003. The post was established on May 31, 1991. In 2002- 2003, he was the National Deputy Chief of Staff for the VFW. He was the service officer in Ada in 1994. Mr. Spooner helped conduct military honors for 648 deceased veterans and was on the Veterans Task Force for Congressman Tom Cole. He married Bonnie Ruth Crenshaw May 3, 1986, at Konawa. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie R. Spooner, of the home; three sons, Dennis Spooner and wife Tina, Singer, California, Stanley Spooner and wife Sue, West Jordan, Utah, and Robert Castleberry and wife Susan, Ada; three daughters, Rulene Scott and husband Rick, Binghamton, New York, Muriel Spooner and husband Kim, San Diego, California, Debbie Huddleston and Chris Chesley, Konawa, and Bobbi Cooley and husband Jerry, Konawa; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Cavener was a homemaker and a very active member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she served as Sunday school teacher and Women’s Missionary Union director. She married Ed Cavener Nov. 23, 1945, in Ada. Survivors include her husband, Ed Cavener, of the home; a son, Larry Cavener and wife Elaine, Kansas City, Kan.; two grandsons, Jared Cavener, Ada, and Jeff Cavener, Lone Grove; three granddaughters, Natalie Cavener, Overland Park, Kan., Robin Cavener, Olney, Md., and Vonda Cavener Key, Florida; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Painter, Byng. Mr. Hightower attended Byng Schools and graduated from East Central University in Ada in 1992 with a bachelor of arts’s degree in counseling. He worked at the Chickasaw Nation as a counselor for drug and alcohol abuse. He was a lifelong resident of Ada and attended the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church in Oil Center. He was also an Internationally Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor and a Certified HIV and Aids Educator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bertha Hightower. Mr. Brannan died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at a local hospital. He was born May 15, 1928, in Alichi, Okla. to Mabel and William Brannan. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean conflict. He attended Willard Elementary and graduated from Horace Mann High School. He graduated from East Central University with a bachelor of arts degree in 1935. He was an insurance agent for Great Southern Life Insurance Company until he moved to Inglewood, Calif., in 1941. He worked for the North American Aviation Defense Plant from 1941 until 1945. While in Inglewood, he met and married Bobie Marion Owens on Oct. 30, 1941. At the end of World War II, he and his family returned to Ada, where he worked for the Logsdon Brothers Furniture Store. In 1947 he joined the General Adjustment Bureau. In 1950, he joined his father at the Logsdon Insurance Company, which then became the Logdson & Son Insurance and Real Estate Company. The business later became the Conner Logsdon Agency, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Logdson was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Ada. He was active in the Boy Scouts, earning his Eagle Scout with Troop 4. Mr. Logsdon belonged to the Ada Kiwanis Club for more than 47 years. He was editor of the Kiwanis paper, The Gasser, for several years. He also worked with the Kiwanis Boy Scout program. He belonged to the Arbuckle Rock Club. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during World War II and was of the Pentecostal faith. He married Barbara Soward in 1946. She died in 2002. Tom Buzbee officiating. Mrs. Pyeatt died Dec. 22, 2006, at Norman. She was born Nov. 8, 1915, at Coalgate to A.D. "Dick" Grant and Hazel Alexander Grant. After graduating from Coalgate High School in May, 1931, at age 15, she began her long career in the abstract business, during which she met her husband, George R. "Bud" Pyeatt. He died in 1970. One of her first jobs was as a field abstractor with Carter Oil Company in Carmi, Ill. She worked in this capacity for several years, until 1950, when she and her sister, Vivian, opened their own abstract company, Valley Abstract, in their hometown of Coalgate. After Vivian's death in 1997, Evelyn continued to operate the business until, at 88, illness forced her to retire. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Bill Grant, and her sister Vivian Grant Pasquali. Survivors include a son, Bill Pyeatt and wife Sharon of Norman; granddaughter, Lindsey Hart and husband Brandon of Oklahoma City, and step-granddaughter, Jordan Schornick of Norman; niece, Susan Henderson and husband Phil of Pauls Valley; and nephew, Tony Pasquali. He attended East Central University in Ada, receiving a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and a master’s degree in administration. Mr. Griffin taught school for four years and then became a principal on the Navajo Reservation in the Shiprock, N.M., area, retiring in 1980. Mr. Griffin was a deacon at the Byng Free Will Baptist Church and also led the singing. He was a former member of the Oddfellows and the Lion’s Club, and also served in the U.S. Navy. He married Doris Brown on March 2, 1956, at Byng. Survivors include his wife, Doris Griffin, of the home; two daughters, D.J. He was affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church, and a member of the Konawa Round-up Club, where he served as parade marshall. Mr. Putnam served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Tajauna Caldwell September 1958 in Oklahoma. She died January 1980.
